The Amber palace complex is truly impressive, and while it is a cruder and cheap imitation of the much more elaborate Moghul imperial palaces, it is still a very nice experience, well worth the visit (which cannot be said of the attractions of Jaipur city). However with so many far more beautiful sights in India, I would not place Amber/jaipur... More

he aesthetic ambiance of the palace is seen within its walls. Constructed of red sandstone and marble, the attractive, opulent palace is laid out on four levels, each with a courtyard. It consists of the Diwan-e-Aam, or "Hall of Public Audience", the Diwan-e-Khas, or "Hall of Private Audience", the Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace), or Jai Mandir, and the Sukh Niwas... More

The Sheesh mahal is within the Amber fort complex. The palace is a stunning piece piece of architecture and art. The walls are studded with small mirrors, so are the ceilings. The myth is that the Queen wanted to sleep under the stars at night and so the King build a palace of mirror work to reproduce the feeling of... More

Well worth a visit. Lovely part of the palace with impressive architecture and lovely gardens to explore. Thousands of mirrors give a twinkly reflection. Friendly, welcoming and calm. Bring a camera.

Put to focus flash light on the ceilings and then you will find the amazing view all over the hall. Must visit in case you are in... More

There aren't many mirrors now but still the architecture is beautiful and looks so neat. This is situated inside Amber fort and visited at the same time. Take lot of photos.

Sheesh Mahal inside the Amber fort was actually the bedroom of the queen of Jaipur. This mahal was purposely decorated with mirrors all over the walls. During winter season candles will be lit inside the mahal. The mirrors will nicely be glowing in the dark as well as heating up the rooms in that process making it comfortable for the... More

It is located inside the Amber fort. It is a hall with mirrors all over the walls. These are belgian glass ordered during king's time hence one can imagine how royal the kings were of Rajasthan. Of course the king must have been very liked by queens as there are mirrors everywhere and especially at one sport one can look... More
