Galtaji Temple, Jaipur A pre-historic Hindu pilgrimage site, the Galtaji Temple, is located only 10km away from Jaipur. One of the jewels of Jaipur, the temple complex encompasses natural fresh water springs and 7 holy 'kunds' or water tanks. Among these kunds, the 'Galta Kund', is the holiest one and is believed to never get dry.

After walking over the hill feeding the mommies you arrive at this temple. Free to enter but 50inr camera charge. Nice to see temple worshippers there in their bright orange t shirts and face paints. Beware the floor is filthy! Monkey and cow dung on the floor which isn't a pleasant scene. Steep steps and over 150 high steps complete... More

Lots of very cute monkeys everywhere, but it is SMELLY and DIRTY, so we couldn't see much as we were running away cause the smell was unbearable. I would skip it.

This place is truly stunning on so many levels! The monkeys of course are an experience in themselves, you can buy food from outside and they are rather docile, very used to human interaction. The architecture and surroundings aren't to be underestimated, they are what makes this place all that more amazing. We went quite late in the day, around... More

The place breathtaking view and looks very beautiful. People who love history and art lovers will definitely love this place. But unfortunately they are not maintaining this place. This place is filled with monkeys and they pounce from all direction. They charge some Rs. 10 to 20 as entry fee. There is a small Temple on the top and to reach... More

Galta ji temple is located in the walled city of Jaipur and this time is best to visit this place . The area all around is lush green and along with that due to rain filled with water. Monsoon and winters is best time to visit.

Yet another Hindu temple tucked away amongst some beautiful scenery. It is 40C in June so no tourist, which is good. The locals are a colourful, friendly lot as are the monkeys. We stayed a long time milling about, swimming in the pool and feeding the monkeys. Great place for kids.

I have visited temple on Tuesday 14th June there was a large family of monkeys flocking towards the temple tank, for a bath. Temple has a back-drop of gorgeous landscape featuring lush green vegetation, Birds and Mammals, and offers a fascinating view of the city of Jaipur. This place is interesting for nature lovers and photographers.

Nice place for outing. Religious importance as it's connected with Hindu followers. Full of monkeys and one must take care to safeguard his family. They at times can get dangerous.
