We thought we were just visiting this manufacturing outlet as part of a city tour. Although we did witness screen-printing and carpet making we were subjected to ( no obligation) carpet presentation. We were happy at the time with the item we bought and were offered price for shipping home which we accepted but once the item was delivered we were sent a bill for import duty. This came as a shock as we thought we had negotiated an all-inclusive price. Despite attempts to contact supplier by email we received no replies to our queries and eventually had to pay extra for this import duty paid on behalf by DHL to release the goods. On closer inspection to sales terms and conditions it does state we would be liable for import costs but still feel conned as this was not our understanding at point of sale and the business failed to respond to our emails

I visited this factory as part of a Riviera tour. The presentation was very interesting and the sales pitch acceptable. Many people bought items. I do feel concerned that the cashmere blanket I bought may not be genuine and would be interested in other feedback. Perhaps buy tentatively. I would be happy to be proved wrong!

Bought an expensive carpet from this (commission based) outlet in March outlet whilst on a package tour. Our guide took us there. Carpet packed by the store and I transported it. On laying the carpet I noticed deep grease stains on it. Contacted outlet and told to send photos. Sent them four times and every time I had to chase them up only to be told the photos never arrived. Sent same photos to acquaintances who received them without problem. One on-forwarded the photos from their own computer successfully. Tried to fax all details using the fax number supplied on my invoice/receipt. Not connected. Phoned the outlet only to be told they had no fax! They would however call me back!! No call! Beware of this outlet as there is no after sale service and the buyer has no recourse if there is a problem. The sale is the only thing they are interested in. An interesting place to visit but keep your wallet closed!

Landed in the place with a brilliant Guide for Jaipur, initially very positively surprised by the friendly and not at all pushy atmosphere of the owner of the place!
Had to disappoint seriously after having fallen into the trap ( despite being very experienced India tourists) of buying a carpet and some other textiles! We had the carpet checked by 2 of our trusted carpet merchants in Delhi and in Switzerland and had to acknowledge that we had been seriously cheated, both on price and on quality of the merchandise!
Tried to correct the matter via phone and several mails to no avail!
So if in the region, do AVOID these guys in order not to fall into the same old trap!

Do not trust this place. Tried to conduct a transaction in good faith. This place sent inferior carpet instead and will not return our money and telling us lies. We are out
$8000.00. Ansul is the crook we dealt with. Tells nothing but lies.

Very informative and interesting enterprise making hand made carpets and block printed fabrics and clothes.
We were able to see how the items were made.
We purchased a number of items including a beautiful rug and cashmere pashminas and scarves.
Very happy with purchases but beware of import duty if you arrange delivery.

A very interesting visit and demonstration. Rum and coke in the afternoon as carpets were brought out for us to look at. We did buy a rug, at a price we considered fair, and it was shipped home to us in Scotland exactly as promised, although we had to pay import tax prior to delivery and were dismayed to find that the price on the enclosed invoice was only one quarter of what we had actually paid. Their explanation when we contacted them was that they reduce the invoice price in order to keep down import tax. Plausible but fraudulent, we felt, and would have been better to warn of this at time of initial purchase. Nonetheless delighted with rug.

There is a lot to see and learn and you can buy lots of beautiful things.
We bought a large Carpet and were promised totally free delivery.
But we still had to pay au$262.00, before delivery took place.
Friends of ours bought a carpet as well, and had to pay the same amount!
We think we still did a good deal, and the shipping went ahead as promised without any other Problem.
After all we are very happy
