Good place if your looking for a deal on textiles or jewelry. Never accept the sellers first or even second price. Be sure to check out Leopold's Cafe for a bite. The artsy Kola Ghoda is right next to the market.

I guess that most of the shops will be closed today due to elections. But upcoming Wednesday is a holiday again and that would be a great day to visit this place.

As far as I know it opens at 10am. Best time would be just after stores have opened and there aren't many buyers yet. Bargaining is so much better when there are less people.

I found it by mistake just round the corner from The Gateway to India. That was a Sunday in October. It was very crowded. Lots of stalls selling tourist trash !
