Nice connectivity

Best thing about konkan railway is the connectivity across cities. Ample number of trains both during day and night.

Konkan railway must be one of the world best railway route. Especially after crossing an hour or two after Mumbai, Konkan railway starts. The rail route is full of mountains, sea, sea shores, back waters, rivers, greenery, huge trees, plantations, mist, clouds, lengthy bridges, tunnels, curves, valleys, slopes, old type hamlets, etc, etc all the way covering few hundred kilometers... This is my third journey thru Konkan Railway, all in monsoon. One of the best and easiest way to see Konkan region beauty. Must travel at least one, monsoon is preferred. My fellow coach members, through have booked AC coach tickets, politely fighting over seat at coach attendant's seat near door, to see beautiful scenery what the route offers...Hills, Rivers,... Analogy with Sunday Times™ making a description about The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I made one journey Goa-Mumbai-Goa. Good experience to know everything since the ticket purchase format until the sale of food and drinks made within. Usually we bought the ticket in the traditional way (counter, internet), but everything was sold out and you don't want put... More

One of the best trips I had travelling. The lush green scanario, cattles grazing the fields along with dense forest cover and a landscape fringed with paddy, coconut and mango trees were quite a thing to see as it's impossible to see these in our Morden concrete world. To sum it up I would say it is a tribute to... More

Have travelled Mumbai to Goa on this route & the route is beautiful.Lush greenery, specially just after the rainy season,it is fun for a short or overnight trip. We also got down at Ratnagiri station & bought mangoes while travelling in summers.
