t's one of the best water park in the city and around the city.

Always go in groups. It's super fun.

The water slides and rides are excellent.

It's good for big and small both.

They had good schemes too.

How to reach this place? Public Transport - Get to Borivali Station and take a bus/auto to Gorai beach and get the ferry. The other option is to go to Malad Station and reach marve beach for the ferry till Water kingdom. Private Transport - If you want to go by Car/Bus you need to cross the Dahisar Toll Naka and follow the direction on the road. Bhayander is the name of the place to reach water kingdom.
About the place: First of all, I have loved this place so much that I have been here 4 times. And every time, it has been as awesome as it can be. You will find all the slides working, even on weekdays. I would recommend to go on weekdays as the crowd would be minimal (In case there is a school trip the day you go, hard luck is all I can say ;-) ). Going on a weekend or a holiday, you will have to wait for a long long time to get into any one of the slides. The water is clean, the slides are cool. Do try the big Yellow and Red slides, it will get your heart beating. All in all, the place is amazing!

I have been to Water Kingdom multiple times with family and friends and every time we had fun time together. It is well organized, water is clean (better than what I expected), there is emphasis on safety and have good food as well.

Few points to note is that
- Car parking is about 1 km away from the site and you have to go by their bus. While it is ok, but you may be spending 15 mins to 1 hr to reach site depending on crowd. You should consider this while planning.

- Ticket counters also take time. I had to spend more than 30 minutes to get yearly passes and in one occassion I had to put up fight for getting senior citizen discount. I think this should be improved. you should give 15 - 30 mins here.

- One you go inside, another 15 - 30 mins to get locker key, go change etc. Of course, if you are one or two people, it will be much faster

Once inside there are few attractions where you could spend time. My family likes wave, lazy river, kids area.

There are few challenging slides as well, but they are fully safe. I scratched my back in black tunnel slide as joints were not smooth. One of my colleague overturned in high water slide where you sit on inflated tube. These are minor incidents, so if you are bit cautious, you can enjoy.

I still need to gather courage to try top 2 slides which are highest. Overall it is good place and you can easily spent 4-5 hours there.

I would recommend to visit on weekdays as there is heavy rush on weekends and holidays. Enjoy.

If you are female either wear a Taliban swimming costume or don't go here. It is a low class place full of guys lethcing on women in swimming costumes. I went here twice as a teenager and then a few times as a boyfriend. The crowd is really low class and if a woman wears a swimming costume or bikini likely they will be molested. This is mismanaged and a pathetic attempt to copy the Water Worlds in devloped nations!

We visited WK in Feb 13. We were group of 10-12 adults+ 2 children. We left from Pune at 7 AM and came back by midnight.
Overall experience was good. Though we spent on many unnecessary things..

Positive Points:-
It is worth its cost... Slides are good. It is very huge so enough to spend whole day.. Some slides are breath taking.. some are fun.. overall very enjoyable..
Food that we get inside was of good quality and of reasonable rates.

Negative Points:-
At the entry we spent a lot on following unnecessary things..
1. Locker - (100/- per locker)- very small- not worth taking. Better take only one for valuables. Put rest in your vehicle or you can bags with them at less cost (50/-..something)
2. Swimming costumes - we didn't take it with us so we had to take it from them. You can either buy or take on Rent. But if rent is 300/- then you can buy same cloths at 350/-. So we obviously bought it from there..spent almost 300/- per person. We could have easily saved it by taking any nylon cloths from home.

so in short - Take your swimming costumes (any nylon cloths) with you. Don't take too much stuff with you otherwise you will spend on lockers/ keeping bags.

Overall Good experience.

Similar to Essel World.. don't compare it with Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai or Sentosa, Singapore. This is the best water park in and around Mumbai. Possibly the entire country. If they are I haven't heard of them.
1. It has many rides..What-a-Coaster, Untamed Amazonia, 70 & 45 degree slides are best of the lot.
2. Water - Its not as bad as people here are commenting. Water is not smelly. Its lil salty that's it.
3. vicinity to Mumbai
4. Food is better but on expensive side
5. Big changing rooms atleast on the Gents side
6. No history of accidents..lifeguards are placed everywhere and are fairly strict.
7. People who are commenting here about people spitting in water..well show me one pool or water park in the world where people don't spit water in the pools. That's why its chlorinated.

1. Lockers are chargeable..OK but how about a free shoe keeping services or separate big lockers for shoes at lesser rate. Shoes only will occupy 2 lockers.
2. Wavepool has timings for tidal waves. Why is it not a continuous activity?
3. Rides can be increased as they have so much of spare space left.
4. Price is too much for average Indian household. A family picnic here will cost you 5000.

Initially we planned to reach Water Kingdom (WK) directly, but due to confusions about route we landed in Gorai village near the ferry. We parked our car in a parking lot and purchased tickets of ferry (Rs 35 per person, includes the return trip). There is a fish market on the way from ticket counter to ferry, so be prepared for strong odour. In Ferry, safety jackets are not provided. Essel world's website claims that they have experienced staff and perform all prescribed periodic maintenance of ferries. A golden dome of Global Vipassana Pagoda is visible throughout the 10 minute ride.

After getting down, there are two gates : one for Essel World and other for Water Kingdom. Another train ride takes you to WK's ticket counter. We were able to jump long ticket queue, as we booked entry tickets on-line.. (One has to carry printout of ticket and valid id-proof, just show the printout and collect your tickets at counter.) Next as per requirement, get (ladies or gents) lockers on rent by paying rent and deposit. The lockers key has a rubber loop and can be tied on wrist. You can go any time to your locker from park. There is a nice shop of swimwear. Nylon or Lycra swimwear is compulsory on all rides. Carrying any type of food items is not allowed except infant food inside park. We went on weekday of summer holiday (ticket rates were maximum.). Inside everywhere you can see water n water. No footwear not allowed on rides. Some places you may have to walk on hot surface, get footwear from the park's shop.

Water Rides are amazing and thrilling. There was considerable queue for rides. The management should think of adding more rides, as there existing rides are not sufficient for visitors. We had a great time in cool blue coloured Wave-Pool. It is the most playful place in the park. Experienced smoothly rolling waves of height from 2 ft to 6 ft. Life guards are around. It is really a fantastic and fun-filled experience. We enjoyed playing with water in The Lagoon area, it is for all ages, with number of small rides/slides, water showers of different types. Elephant bucket : when full splashes water (around 500 ltrs) on you. A terrible and shocking experience lasts for few seconds. Be careful if your seating, someone may fall on you due to huge force of water. There are photographers - wearing blue T-shirts, written photographer on their back (can be spotted after a long search). You can choose out of captured pics and get print outs or burned on CDs, while exiting from park.

Food: In "Taipan": tasted Chinese food : had noodles and Manchurian. Another restaurant "Food Wharf" : is nicely managed, has indoor as well as outdoor seating arrangements. We had pav bhaji there. Food quality was good. It also offers buffet lunch. You have to do self-service everywhere. Also, several kiosks sell ice-creams, chole-bhature, pop-corns, etc. Rates are Ok.

I feel one can avoid crowd, if we arrive after 2pm. When we were leaving the park around 4pm, there were no queue at ticket counter, waiting queues for rides were shorter than it was during morning hours.

My family and I went there on a Saturday. We got great deals on Little app which saved money. No food is allowed inside however there are multiple shops inside like Dominos and Thali shops which are much cheaper compared and better to ones they try and sell.Lockers are quite big so we bought only 1 and kept everything there.
We got our own swimsuits. One can do only water kingdom or essel world in one day as both take time. Rides are awesome and totally safe! Washrooms and changing room are avialable so get shampoo etc to use before changing while return.

Water Kingdom, Gorai, Mumbai (Bombay), India
Is good place for water lover, Its huge and have lots of water rides.
The plus point of the place is wave pool running 3-4 times in a day.
Food inside the Park is also good.

But down side of this place is coast.
Entry Fee is OK, but the dress coast, locker coast & footwear storing coast is too much.
The joints of some rides are also rough, so its risky to have ride without cloths even on upper section of body.
