Colaba is popular for shopping. It is a commercial Street market and a bit expensive, but bargaining is the main attraction. Can get cheap junk jewellery to clothes, gift items etc. over here. Full of eateries, stalls cheap hotels and pubs. Ancient buildings still stand silently overlooking the Arabian Sea. Even today the traces of Cantonment can be seen. Area... More

i live in colaba so this is pretty much like home for me! it's full of people at all times, tho weekends are extremely crowded! its heaven for shoppers as one can buy everything from clothes to shoes, to bags, to accessories, sun glasses etc for very reasonable prices on the streets as well in the shops lining the entire... south Africans always prefer to stay there.Its like "Alladins cave" for shopping- .cheap hotels available for shoppers-a lot of eating places also.around electric house and Collaba market/metro plaza ,also stalls selling clothing and gifts.

Colaba causeway great for shopping, lots of tourist 'nic naks' but also 'proper shops' my husband had a couple of suits made to measure here, he was measured, chose the material, lining, for both suits and shirts and all were ready in 3 days and all a perfect fit and were incredibly cheap.
