Colaba used to be the place to get your Indian Nike naps. I have some great elephant ornaments from previous visits. I was disappointed this time most of the stalls were selling clothes and seemed less targeted at the tourists. Far less opportunity to pick up a bargain ornament.

It is a mystery why Bombay is so amazingly filthy and run-down...among the worst anywhere in the world...the place is hectic and chaotic...so is Colaba...rats in the street in bright sunlight !!! Since there is not much to see in Mumbai unless you are stranded there and need to keep yourself busy...then go for a walk on and around Colaba...south... More

Typical street market stalls selling cheap jewellery, scarves and plastic stuff etc . Good for local tat and browsing & easier than a vast market as all along a pavement.

We spent much time in this area researching my wife's heritage as she was born here and lived on Colaba Causeway before emigrating to England. It provides a real sense of everything that is exciting and challenging about Mumbai. Well worth a stroll!

Definitely worth street shopping in south Mumbai. Food, clothes, shoes, colaba pretty much Has it all. Loved walking around the gateway of India and the museum. Kalaghoda is pretty good for art which is walking distance from colaba.

This was a good area to spend a few nights. It is by the bay overlooking the Arabian Sea where all the locals meet in the evening and has a nice vibe. It is walking distance from the iconic Taj Mahal Hotel and Leopolds's Cafe. It is quite a distance from the airport so allow enough time for your departure... More

It is a very busy shopping area in south Mumbai. The shopping street is full of shops of different types . A large number of street side vendors also display their ware. It is congested throughout the day. But once evening sets in , the crowds multiply.
