I love this temple and have very very fond memories of visiting this sacred place while being an engineering student in Mysore. That was around 30 years back. Had a chance to visit again on a trip to India and a journey from Mangalore to Bangalore as the ghats were closed, and we had to go thru Mysore!! This place is very close to my heart!! God bless.

One more landmark of mysore is the Ontikoppal Venkataramana swamy temple as called. The temple is well maintained and one can feel the positive vibrations as soon as u enter the temple. Must visit temple. The fragrance that knocks the nose at the entrance soothes restless minds. Pls do visit.

This temple is bang on the main road. Had to park the car slightly away and walk down. The lord gives you a clean view right as you enter the temple. We had a free and long darshan. Lord Venkatramana is very similar in structure to the Tirupati Swamy, however a tad taller. We spent about 30 minutes there. The temple is very clean and well maintained. Outside on the temple compound you have beautiful mural from the Ramayana.
Photography is not allowed inside. I am also told that the crowd is heavy on the Saturdays. Please plan accordingly.

This is an amazing place. The deity looks so charming and full of life even from the main road. They also have regular programs here. Of course their almanac is very famous.
