A Clock Tower located on a busiest street near market. It isnt an attraction you have to intentionally visit. But if you are visiting the market you may come across this.

If you are travelling around Mysuru you will no doubt pass this clocktower - situated very centrally, near the palace. It was built in 1927 using three architectural styles: Hindu, Muslim and Christian - symbolising the need for us all to live together. The numerals are in the Kannada language, apparently they were originally roman numerals. Also I am told it is still a clockwork clock, requiring winding by hand every two days. Stop and take a closer look.

The Dodda Gadiyaara is a clock tower in the city centre of Mysore. Looks like any other clock tower except that his is built in the Indo-Islamic style.

The Silver Jubilee clock tower was built in 1927 to commemorate the silver jubilee of the rule of Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, the maharaja of Mysore. The clock tower is also called Dodda gadiara , means the "big clock tower", the "small clock tower" being the Dufferin Clock Tower located near KR Circle. This stands in a bustling area adjacent to Chamaraja Circle and the Town Hall. Built in the Indo- Saracenic style, this 75 feet tall tower spots features from different architectural schools. The curvilinear chhajja is of Rajasthani tradition. The tall double arches and framing slit windows of early English church architecture. The 5 feet diameter clock which now spots Kannada numerals once had English numerals.

The Dodda Gadiyaara (meaning Big Clock in Kannada language) is actually a beautiful clock tower located close to the Mysore Palace. One can admire as one is walking or driving past it.

Located close to Mysore Palace on the Ashoka Road this towering monument will take you back in time. The numbering on the clock is in the local language and is still working. The surroundings have a market place and bustling with people. Good photographic point and is really well maintained.

Dodda gadiyaara in Kannada, which literally means "a Big clock" is situated close to the Mysore Palace, so you can visit it after you are done seeing the palace. this clock has historical importance and could use a bit of sprucing up
