I visited this place with little doubt as i didnt hear much about this place. But this was the best place i saw in mysore and really awsome experience. May be the combination of visiting time and location makes more impact. We visited around 9 AM and nice to see lot of birds in aviary. Many peacocks. The boating experince... More

As mentioned it is not in Chamundipuram, but it is located near Nazarbad. The lake has been redone with lot of care and has a wonderful look now after renovation. It has bird park too. This lake is just adjacent to the famous Mysuru Zoo. Bird lovers must visit this lake

This is a small lake in the centre of Mysore. This lake provides congenial atmosphere for a variety of birds. This lake is surrounded by a beautiful park which is enhanced into a tourist spot. Apart from the lake, the main attractions in the park are Aviary, Butter fly park and Orchid garden. We got to spot painted stork, ducks,... More

It's the season that made me dissatisfied, without rain there was very little water in the lake, we wanted to enjoy the beauty, but couldn't do much there.

Well maintained with a beautiful garden. Boating is available in the lake, but no plastic are allowed. Please note the lake close time, while visiting.

Loved the walk from the gate and around the lake. Not much water in Dec, some boating activities could see and saw some ducks and birds.

I went for a walk around the lake and it was a long walk but very cool and serene. I am a bird lover and saw a wide variety of birds and ducks.

Beautiful park, well maintained, lot of species. Lake water is totally dried up due to summer and they had stop boating. Not recommended to visit between 11 to 4.you will definitely not enjoy the park environment. you can hire cycles. Litter free park which is quite admirable.

We drove twice from Bangalore only to enjoy the pure oxygen of this place. Kids love cycling (you can rent one at ₹20-30 for half hour) and we enjoy the leisurely stroll under the shade of various trees. The lake needs maintaining though. The peacocks are a delight to watch. The only issue is that the sprawling park has restrooms... More
