It is located about 10 km from the centre of the city. You can reach there either by cab or take the 94 no. bus from the city bus stand to BEML and from there it is a 1 km walk to the entrance.

I visited in Nov. 2019 and the park was lush green with thick foliage on either side of the walkway. Was able to sight hornbills, peacocks, minivets, malkoha, APFC (white and brown morph), Tickells blue, brahminy kites, Ibis, ducks, coots, blue cheeked bee eaters, greater coucal. It takes about 3 hours to take a leisurely stroll around the complete circumference of the Lake.

Do preserve and enjoy the silence and of the location.

i happened to visit Lingambudi lake 2 years back for the 1st time. Though the connecting road was not good, it was walkable and a beautiful sight .

Now we see well tarred road and neatly laid foot path, but neither could walk nor drive as the foothpath is fully grown with weeds and parthenium and the road are very scary to walk or drive due to blind curves, completly covered with weeds.

If these area can be well maintained, it will turn out to be one more beautiful tourist spot of Mysore.

Easily reachable from Brahmramba Choultry Bus Stop, this lake is at its best when Mysuru has had copious rainfall during monsoon season. Bird watchers can spot migratory birds. Two huge trees at the Lingambudi Village side are feast for eyes.

The Lingambudi Lake is among the less exploited and hence, more beautiful lakes in the city of Mysore. Located in the south of the city, the lake offers a pleasing sight to the eye.

However, the lack of commercialization around the lake has its drawbacks as well. There's nothing much to see or do here, apart from taking a walk along its outside. Even there, the path is covered with thick overgrowth, which means one needs to walk on the road alongside. The secluded nature of the place means it is not the safest place to be in, once dark. Public transportation to and from the lake is extremely limited as well.

Have been meaning to do a picnic on a lake bed. Pinpointed on Lingambudi, so close to the city. Never thought that it's such a vast and beautiful lake. Not much shade or facilities though but had a nice time nevertheless. Recommended.
