Small but nice place. Kids can spend time. Enjoyed the toy train trip with my kid. Worth visiting with small kids.

I loved the place. Its a great place to see the growth of Indian Railways and kids would absolutely enjoy getting into the old world trains.

Just a few yard from the railway station is the Rail Museum. The museum contains a number of interesting exhibits like the vintage Maharanis Saoon built in the UK in 1899 and a kitchen dinning car built in Mysore in 1914.

Worth a quick visit if you are near the area. Quite a few beautiful old trains well preserved and more than worth the entry ticket. A special feature is the king's train complete with facilities for his traveling entourage. Giving only three stars because it could have been a lot better given the history and heritage of the railways.

Located next to Mysuru railway station, lies this Railway museum. It houses few Steam locomotives and Maharajas wagon. The wagon provides a insight of luxurious travel of Mysore Wodeyars in Railways. A good picnic spot for childrens.

Rail museums have always attracted me and this particular one was no different. Located right next to the Mysore Railway entry point, this museum takes some fees for your camera but lets you click ample pictures. Here you find the old narrow gauge trains used for earlier modes of transportation. You get many black and white and color pictures of... More

I took my 2, 13-year old sons there. Fun little park, very affordable. Some good photo spots. Even I enjoyed it. A little gem.

This is a quaint little stop off venue with a few aged engines and coaches on permanent display. There was a photographic display of viaducts and rolling stock, which had been in local use over the years. There is a charge for the use of your own camera. The toilet facilities are very basic so come prepared with tissue. There... More
