Beautiful Church!

Though the church was undergoing renovation when we visited, the structure was soooo impressive that it just deserves a visit if you are in Mysore.

Marvellous Gothic architecture! We visited in the evening after dark and it gave us the feeling of being in some hollywood movie. Couldn't go inside as renovation work was in progress. Took some photographs from outside only.

One of the oldest and biggest churches in India. The twin tower church is an architectural wonder not to miss. The exterior art works are amazing, so the interior should be, but we couldn't explore inside as it was closed for renovation. It stands high in the history and so in the city, don't miss this.

It's a very large church in the main city. I am told it's one of the largest churches of India. You can view the chur h in the main market area. Entry waa restricted when we went there as the church was under renovation.

The interior of the church is being re-done so nothing to see there, but head down underneath and the vaults represent a fascinating roll call of colonial times, with name after name inscribed as donating to build the church in the first place.

The twin towers of Church attracts every visitor. I visited during my visit to Mysore and renovation was in progress. So we couldn't explore it from inside but the exteriors and wonderful structure is nice to click photographs. The church is at 20 minutes walking distance from Mysore palace and is well connected.

What a superb structure: Neo-Gothic style church. Magnificent in its splendor. Though it is steeped in history and plenty of visitors around, one can still find a quiet place for prayer within this church. One can walk from the Palace to this church in 20 minutes.
