Royal Mysore Walks, we are bunch of locals who enjoy showing you around the city that we love and call home. There is more to this city than what meets the eye, that is pretty much the case with most cities in this world that's worth a visit.

We run open tours on several themes that you can join, or we could customise a private tour for your group, just ask! Choose from taking a walk, riding a bike, jumping on a jeep, or if you have your transport we are happy to take you for a ride in it!!! Why just visit when you can experience, is what we like to say!

I had a wonderful time with my tour guide Abida. She was very well informed of both the history and culture of Mysore. I would definitely recommend this tour for those that have both never been to the city and even for those that have. We ended the tour with a fantastic breakfast of traditional Indian Food and a quick... More

I booked the walking tour in the evening and everything was arranged very smoothly (not always a given with Viator). The tour guide Abida was very friendly and informative with lots of interesting bits of info on Mysore's royal history. The tour then covered some delicious food, including a fantastic lassi.

We took the Malgudi walking tour in Dec 16. It was a great experience visiting the places in Mysore which were the inspiration for R K Narayan to write his famous Malgudi Days. The tour was well planned and our guide Faizan told us a lot of interesting tales about the place. We were very happy to see the Museum... More

We have just had a fantastic two day tour, visiting the Palace, market, and some other sites. The guide (a young man) was excellent, so very passionate about the area and the places we visited. He was very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. He had plenty of time to answer any questions and made the tour very memorable. He bought us... More

We spent a wonderful evening walking around the town hall, clock tower, market and palace gates. Santosh, our guide was knowledgeable and his sense of humor had us chuckling. Even those of us call Mysore home learned all sorts of new quirky facts about our city. The food tour which was part of the tour was also fun and we... More

I enjoyed the Royal Mysore Walks morning bicycle tour in the city. The guide Abida taught us about the Muslim and Hindu presence in the city and led us on a great, safe cycle to various community spaces including a hospital and church. I enjoyed seeing parts of the city I likely would not have visited on my own. Plus,... More

Visited Mysore with family group (17-70) and Audley had pre booked this tour for us . Santosh , an actor and film buff but also a graduate , gave us a top tour of the palace and markets . He paced it just right and was able to appeal to each member of our group of 8 . Would thoroughly... More

We had this tour booked via our Indian travel agent (SITA)., and the thought of a walking tour whist I had my very heavy cold, filled me with utter despondency. I could not have been more wrong, it was, I have to say one of the most professional tours we have done in a long time. Fez, the guide was... More

I went on the Best of Mysore walking tour with Impana. It's a sites/monuments and food tour. Impana was so knowledgeable and keen to explain various things of the city which I never would have otherwise known. I'm so delighted with it. The food outlets which she brought us to were some of the best I've been to in India.... More
