A place to sit quietly. This is a Tibetan temple. Make sure to visit this place during off-season or else instead of peace, you will find chaos as its usually crowded during peak time

I planned a family trip to Bylakuppe as we had heard a lot about the Buddhist monasteries. I must say it was a sight to behold the magnificent Namdroling monastery. Though it was crowded, my family members and I loved every moment of it. We...More

Its a rare and worth visiting place if you are in and around Mysore. Takes roughly 2 hrs drive from Mysore. The whole place can be covered in 2hrs and it gives you the feel of being inside a monastery!!!

A local said that this settlement is about 50 to 60 years old. We can see a difference type of architecture. In holidays, it is over crowded and hence may not be able to experience a calm and peaceful atmosphere. It is very interesting to...More

Its a place where you can make a quick stop to learn more about Buddhism and interact with a few monks. Take a look around - you will not regret it. The place has paid parking, a canteen and few gift shops.

It’s a beautiful experience visiting the Buddhist temple for the first time. I am impressed with the way the neatness and the cleanliness is maintained accross the entire premises.

On the way to Madikeri from Mysore, you got to turn left from the highway, watch out for the SIGN BOARD, once you turn left, there will be a stretch when you just see empty meadows...continue and you will hit the monastery.
