Very nice quiet & serene place. Has nicely constructed Buddhist temples with a magnificent gold plated 60 feet Buddha temple. A must place to visit in & around Mysore/Coorg.

Sitting in monastery was the awesome feeling and it was a once in lifetime opportunity for us. We went on the sunny day and... More

It is a very good experience n one can enjoy the Budha's atmosphere. Inside it was quite silent and the statues were very very adorable.

Quite an unusual sight in primarily hindu setting of listening to tibetan horns. One of the largest sangha away from dharamsala. Definitely worth a visit

I went there after taking detour of about 15 kms on mysore-madhikeri road. The monastery is serene, neat and peaceful but there is nothing much to see and observe. The main temple is closed for renovation.

Just walk around this place and you are transported to Tibet. Dont forget to have some wonderful tibetian food. I suggest you go ahead for another half a kilometer and you will find small roadside restaurants managed by tibetian families. You will get authentic food there.
