It is close to Coorg aa well as mysore. It is in fact inbetween to both these places. Whether you visit Coorg or in mysore, this place is a must watch. Spiritual as well as peaceful, you will thoroughly enjoy your visit.

Truly a place to visit if you are in Karnataka. around 1 hours drive from Mysore and roads are awesome and GPS takes on spot on. Once feels relaxed and can really just sit for hours and relax (that is if there is less crowd). Very nice loved it.

I visited this place with my family in the last week of december. Its such a beautiful place.. so serene and calm inspite of the crowd. There is a strange sense of peace and tranquility around it. Must visit for anyone who visits Mysore or Coorg.

This has been one of my most memorable visit to south India. When we arrived there was a pin drop silence in the monastery and monks in hundreds were chanting together. Their chants echoed in entire environment and that experience can't be described into words!!! Definitely worth a visit !!!

We were travelling from Mysore to Coorg and since this was on the way, we took a small detour to visit this monastery. Impressive, and good to know that erstwhile king of Kushalnagar granted this area to Lord Buddha and his followers. Wish they had really good eating places serving the traditional Tibetan momos though - would have been truly... More
