Since then these people have demonstrated their peace loving nature. They are hard working and have converted the area allotted to them in to granary. They have assimilated to the local... More

Visited this monastery last year while on the way to Coorg. Very quiet place with 3 large statues of Buddha adorned with gold. You can also interact with the monks who live there. They will tell you different customs and traditions of Buddhism. Really nice place to visit if you're looking for peace.

The place is very good and well maintained. In the main hall, 3 big statues of buddhas, they are named as Amitabha, Padmasambhava and Amitayu. Only one advise, do not buy anything from the store that in the same area. They are not up to level and you may not like it at all. It is for taste of Tibetans... More
