If you want to explore tibet, then you can have the sample of tibetean life in South India by visiting Bylukuppe. Situated on the Mysore Madikeri Highway, it takes around 3 hours on road to reach this place.

This is the one place not to be missed. Bylakkuppe is a Tibetan Refugee Camp (the largest in the world). The Golden Temple is one of the amazing sights to see in this area. Admission is free, but parking is not. Surreal and worth the drive. Make sure you walk the outside perimeter of the place so that you see... More

The statues are magnificent. Atmosphere is quiet and calm. Dragon heads are in 3D projections which was interesting.

We went to this monastery as a group. Every one of our group enjoyed the divine and distinct structure and rituals. Very neatly maintained and huge statues of Buddha are the highlights. Parking & Toilet facilities are neatly maintained. Nearby there are many facilities offering adventure games, though only seen with the name boards and not went for.
