    Beautifully designed palace
Mysore Palace is a great place to visit whether you are staying in the city or visiting from outside. The quality of the craftsmanship in both the construction and the artefacts is admirable. I enjoyed walking around the Palace and the grounds. I don't really understand why the ticket office claims not to have change given the amount they take in. Anyway, I think it was worth the 200R entrance fee for foreigners. The temples are amazing too. Remember to remove footwear before entering and respect the 'no photography' rules. @jerrymilton2024

    Magnificent Palace
Rich and beautiful palace. Very well maintained. Palace entrance ticket can be booked through gpay etc. They have a light and sound show starting from 7 pm onwards. Only Cash is accepted at ticket counter. Counter opens after 6.30 p.m. They should make tickets available during day time, that will really help. Again there was lot of rush at counter and at entrance and total mis-management of crowd. Mysore need to learn how to handle crowds. Show itself was good. We enjoyed it.

    Majestic
Our visit to the Mysore Palace, with its rich history as a royal residence, was truly impressive. Having served as the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the Kingdom of Mysore, the palace is renowned for its striking architecture, paintings, and monuments. The separately displayed Golden Throne left us speechless, though photography was not permitted. We were fortunate to experience the palace's majestic illumination during the Dasara festival, Karnataka's state celebration.

    What a wow!
The Mysore Palace is so worth a visit. It is fabulous! The price for foreigners was a surprise - 1000 INR but we were so glad we continued with our visit. It is superb!. We visited during the day and at night to see it lit up for Diwali. The crowd gasped when the lights came on! Go early in the day to minimise crowds.

One of the best excellent places I have visited.
One of the excellent historical and culturally significant palace in Karnataka is renowned for the majestic Mysore Palace, a symbol of the state’s rich heritage and royal history. I had the joy of visiting this extraordinary place with my family. It was a truly beautiful experience that we enjoyed throughout the day.

    A treat for the Eyes
Mysore Palace, , is a historical palace and a royal residence where it is said the royal family still lives It is located in Mysore, Karnataka, India. The palace is in the centre of Mysore, and faces the Chamundi Hills eastward and constructed between 1897 and 1912, ir is one of the important tourist destination of India and treat to the eyes by the opulence and colorful decors. The first palace inside the Old Fort was built in the 14th century, which was set ablaze and reconstructed multiple times. The Old Fort was built of wood and thus easily caught fire, while the current fort was built of stone, bricks and wood. If you interested in the royalty and architecture of India, it is must place to visit.

Worth a visit, download audio guide beforehand, bring cash!
Tickets are cash only. ₹120 for adults and ₹1,000 for foreigners. There's no ATM on the premises, so come prepared! The Palace was beautiful and we're so glad we got to see it! Definitely recommend going if you're in the area. We only wish it wasn't so crowded so we could actually enjoy looking at everything. Everything is barricaded off so everyone moves through the palace fairly quickly, otherwise you block foot traffic. We didn't get a chance to use the Pinakin App for the audio tour, but try to download it before you get there if you can! Having context for what I was seeing would have made it a better experience also.

    MUST see
If you are anywhere near this place, go visit it. We had a 3hr drive from Bangalore, but was absolutely worth it. We spent around 3 hours in this magnificent palace. Look at the pictures here and even though it's crowdy, it's still more beautiful than what you gather from looking at the pictures. Go see it!

This magnificent palace is the residence of the erstwhile royal family of Mysore. Open from 10am to 5.30pm, this palace attracts a large number of visitors. Tickets are Rs.100/- per head and you need to remove your footwear before entering. Built in the Indo-Saracenic style, the palace contains a large collection of royal antiques and artefacts. The premises are well maintained and you would need at least a couple of hours to see it. The palace is illuminated only ofn sundays and public holidays; so we missed it. Parking is available and photography is permitted. Definitely worth a visit

Beautiful place to visit. It is lighted on Sunday evenings. Sometimes during holidays also it is lighted from 7-8pm. There is buggy ride for 50 bucks around the palace. You can shop outside the palace for toys, keychains and other souvenirs, you need to bargain though. Inside the premises, you have the authentic Cauvery handicraft shops where you can buy Sandal wood and silk items.

A magnificent piece of architecture with lot of history. A must see in Mysore. Hire a guide if possible for detailed information. This place can easily take 2-2.5 hours along with a stroll around palace. The place is beautiful in the evening when lit in full lights - starting from 7 pm in the evening.

After Government taking over Palace management its charm got ruined. 5-6 years back it was worth visiting and exploring but now they have barricaded most of the tourist area and hardly it takes 15min to complete the inside tour. But do visit if you are in Mysore. The palace is beautiful and you will admire its architecture

Overrated place to be honest. One has to take off shoes at the entrance and the process is mismanaged. The staff charges for shoes and never has change to give back. The placed is grand but 80 per cent is out of bounds and is cordoned off. The place poorly managed esp crowd management in the evening.

Well maintained and one of the important places to visit in Mysore.
Palace is quite massive so there are quite a lot of things to see once inside.
There is a also a Light and sound show in the evening. There are specific days in the evening when the show is in English as opposed to other days in native language.
It is a good idea to visit the palace in the afternoon so you can be done with both the palace and subsequently light & sound show in the outside garden.
We had to keep our shoes in the show rack before going inside.
They don't allow you a lot of time while taking photographs so you have to be quick.

One of the most iconic tourist place in Mysore Mysore palace is one of the top attractions to visit in Mysore and it is worth all the hype. The grounds are well maintained with several temples all around. Before entering the palace you need to deposit your shoes. The palace had several beautiful areas and paintings and I would recommend a guide to know about the intricacies of the place. Must visit when in Mysore.

if you are around the area, the Mysore palace is a must to visit. The palace is breathtakingly amazing beyond words could describe. It is a mix of the British and Indian grandeur crafted delicately through each and every nook and corner you could see..
Tips:
Visit during weekdays for more enjoyable visit and less crowd.
You can hire a tour guide with English speaking language to show you around
Weather was pleasant around 24 degree Celcius in June.
You may like to stay at Lalitha Mahal Palace hotel ( previously was the Summer Palace) for more touch of the royalty, or Radisson Blu of you prefer to stay at the City central next to mall, so it will be easier to get food if you travel with children.
