Typical Bustling Market
Dec 2019
Situated in town near to the Palace this is worth a wander for the sights and smells that it renders. You can buy lot sof things here from the brightly coloured powders to perfume or vegetables.

Typical of the bustling markets that you find in India.

Great for a ‘local’ feel
Mar 2020 • Couples
If you’re in Mysore, this market is really worth visiting. You will feel part of the local culture. It’s not a ‘tourist’ market. Nearly all food (not cooked)and flowers, so as a tourist you are not pressured to buy.
Fantastic photo opportunity with all the coloured flowers, exotic fruit and characters working there.

Can buy vegetables, fruits, and groceries
Aug 2019
We can buy fresh vegetables, green leafy vegetables and fruits at reasonable rate. We can also buy grocery items and spices. It is also a place where we can find shops selling temple puja items, bangles, traditional sweet shops, fruit juice shops etc.,...

Just great - a very civilised, well behaved market with great colours and stuff....
Feb 2020 • Couples
Of all the markets been in around the world this was one of the most civilised - the Turk Tuk Driver warned us of scammers and people that would hassle us ....... no-one did. Nice wide alleys and areas specialising in flowers, in kitchen utensils, colourful powders, vegetables and lots of stuff. Great way to spend a couple of hours.

Fascinating Busy Market
Feb 2020 • Couples
We are told there are 700 stalls in this market - and it feels like it. Its busy rows of stalls sell every kind if Indian vegetables, flowers, herbs, spices, sugar, cookeryware and more. The vendors are all friendly and helpful. The market is more spacious than other Indian markets and also it’s quite clean and easy ro walk through. There is very little hassle from people trying to sell you stuff so it is very pleasant to walk round. Overall a great experience.

If you are in the area, don't miss it
Feb 2020
This is a worthy experience, I did not find a lot of things to buy, but walking through the fruit/vegetable section into the spice and then home ware sections was a nice experience. Keep moving and feel free to take a quick picture and you won't impede anyone else's experience. Seeing 5 consecutive vendors selling seemingly the same type of coconuts can help put your own efforts back at home into perspective. I had to walk out of the market to find food for lunch.
