As the name suggests, Green Valley has magnificent views of thousands of Pine & Deodar trees on the hill slopes. Green Valley is midway on Shimla-Kufri road. We have to park our car dangerously on the road to get down for a beautiful view. Tourism get down here and enjoy snacks and picturesque views of green hill slopes. Take care of the traffic as you are standing on the narrow main road. Views are best on sunny clear day.

The place is definitely worth the visit, when you are in Kufri. We went during winter, after snowfall had just hit the place. We went up the mountain portly by car, then rest by jeep (requires 4WD). They took us to a viewing area atop the hill, where there were snow activities, such as ski-ing and tubing. As you leave the top, on your way down, you can stop at the many scenic spots to view the grand mountain side filled with greenery and some snow.

Green Valley size be reached midway on Shimla-Kufri road. One can park their car along the road side near to the spot. The place is a break point for tourists to have some snacks here. Several small stalls are there selling local snacks. The place has magnificent views of Pine & Deodar trees on the hills going down to valley. Thousands of trees standing there, making it all green. We clicked several pictures here. Take care of the traffic as you are standing on the main road.

In true sense it is a green valley, surrounded by green trees only. Nice place to enjoy nature beauty which provides lot of pleasure to eyes. We have to view valley from top from roadside. On roadside you can also enjoy delicious street food also. As a suggestion after enjoy Hip Hip Hurray Amusement Park and Kufri Fun World then enjoy green valley on way to Shimla. Nice, beautiful place.

There is a small area on Shimla Kufri road where we stopped and have amazing views of Green Valley. To get parking there is very tough. Spend some time here to click few pics. One can have snacks here as several shops are there.

Nice views from the roadside. The Indians love this place. For those of us from climes where rain is normal, a green tree covered valley is less impressive than to someone from a draught ridden area. Scenic however.

A view not worth missing, on the way to Kufri from Shimla.
Beautiful lush forest on the mountains around and also in the valley. It is just a 10 minute stop.

Most of the day tour agencies make it a point to add "Green Valley" in their schedule as this spot lies on their way from Shimla to Kufri. But to be honest, this is just another point from where you get a good view of the large evergreen coniferous Deodar trees - nothing exceptional about it. If you are visiting Kufri then it makes sense to wait and click a few photographs at Green valley, but don't make an effort to go all the way only to visit the valley.

We are planning for honeymoon tour for Shimla starting from Shimla-Manali-Dharamshala-Amritsar in first week of December. I have inquired with some of tour agencies for package. Can anyone give suggestion should I go with honey moon package or would it be good to book a hotel and roam with local tour guide
I am talking about entire journey from Shimla to Amritsar ?
Thanks in Advanve 😊

Congratulations!! worth place to have Romantic beginning. Basically packages means you have to follow their routine but always give some sort of security if something wrong happens because of weather God or any other things not in our hand.Just Google the desire places and tailor your priority and then book packages as per your need. I mean book your own package after planning your own itirnitirnary. All the best!!
