About Reality Tours & Travel
Reality Tours and Travel is a responsible tour operator providing fun and authentic experiences around India. We invest 80% of our profits back into the communities we visit through our NGO Reality Gives. We are especially well known for our educational Dharavi and Sanjay Colony Slum Tours that show visitors the industrial and residential areas of Indian slums. We also offer city, village, multi-day and customized tours. Our tours educate visitors about the issues as well as opportunities in slums and hopes to encourage them to understand underprivileged communities better. We use 80% of the tour profits and 100% of merchandise profits to fund our sister-NGO Reality Gives that runs and supports a variety of programs in Dharavi and Sanjay Colony. Our goal is to provide authentic and though-provoking local experiences through our tours and to use the profits to create change in our communities. Our vision is a world where all tourism promotes cross-cultural understanding and local development. Our NGO, Reality Gives, provides young people in the local community with high quality education and experiences to help them maximize their potential. We do this by focusing on English, Computer and Life Skills classes as well as a series of activities and workshop in expressive art and sport. We run these program out of three community centres around Dharavi and are currently setting up similar projects in Sanjay Colony.

We loved the tour! Our guide Vijay showed us the best places to try: Jalebi, Aloo chaat, Paratha (and how to make paratha and roti), Chole Bathure (our favorite of the tour), Rice pudding, Gajar ka halwa (carrot halwa my new favorite dessert) among other. Vijay taught about religion, culture, food and even how to use the metro! A must do in Delhi!!

I did several tours with reality tours and it was really convincing. I loved it. Abhishek did the best and explained to me, whatever I needed to know. As a solo female traveller he took excellent care of me and Delhi was my first stop and it is my first time to India. I can highly recommend the tour and the best, the support a NGO and give opportunities to the less priviledged. I recommend the tours - food tour (I really had no stomach issue afterwards), the street art tour, the sighseeing tour as well as the old Delhi tour from the bottom of my heart.

Excellent! - Great food from all the little places, you would never find as a tourist on your own. The food included snacks, sweets, bread and (if you are a non-veg eater) fantastic fried chicken. - You will be full afterwards so don’t eat too much at each place - Our guide Abi was really friendly, helpful and charismatic. We felt very safe and entertained in his company. Also great history lessons. Abi also made sure we got home safely with the metro 🌟

The tour was great, the food was delicious, and although we were a little worried, no one got sick (thank God! We were flying the next day). The guide, Abhishek, was very nice and knew his way around very well. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I would have liked the tour to be a little more informative. Still, definitely worth it.

Having just landed, we decided to throw ourselves in at the deep end - what a great decision. This was an excellent tour of Old Delhi, which is an area that we'd have struggled to navigate ourselves, and the food was superb. Highly recommended
