Darya Khan Tomb is located in Kidwai Nagar East in New Delhi. Darya Khan Lohani was at a high pedestal in the Lodi Kingdom at Delhi. The tomb is currently been renovated by Archaeological Survey of India. It has got four Domes at corners and grave at the centre. Arabic scriptures are found inside the dome spherical ceiling. It is a green, calm and quiet place. Nearby is a Market, known as Kidwai Nagar East Market. NBCC has developed a park and nice surroundings and greenery around the tomb. Good place for morning walk.

Another tomb located in Delhi, nothing special, can be skipped. Location of this tomb was hard to find. The condition of the tomb is bad too, maybe some maintenance can help this place regain more footfall.

A Lodhi era tomb, this is in Kidwai Nagar, not at Mehrauli.

First of all, let me give directions to those history buffs who want to see this attraction. It is not in Mehrauli but in East Kidwai Nagar, which is adjacent to All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
The best way to reach this place is to take Aurobindo Marg, from say Safdarjung flyover. While going towards All India Institute, just short of Ring road, you turn left on Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Marg and on this road, less than a kilometer, you come across a round about and this round about space is the tomb and one can see a board announcing the monument.
This tomb is of Darya Khan Lohani who was Chief Justice during the reign of Bahlul Lodhi and was built sometime in early 16th century. Apart from the tombstone and four kiosks on all four corners not much has survived. Inside the kiosk ceiling are Persian engravings. Overall the place is beautiful but upkeep needs to improve. There is refuse around the monument littered.
There is a watchman for the monument who could not tell much of detail of the place. I asked him how many people come to visit the tomb, he said hardly any, except for young lovers, students, old men to use the quietness of the place.
Those interested in history can visit the place.

stood aloof with high head

during my entire visit to Mehrauli Archaeological Park and Qutub complex dome of this tomb kept attracting me... n finally i ended my day with visiting it on a hillock aloof from all the bunches of monuments. entry from main road with low gradient of climb towards it... worth visiting as it gives beautiful 360 degrees panoramic view of qutub minar, other tombs and the dense residential area.
