Website is not suitable for international guests.
You don't get simple to a tee booking , neither it tells you the the Lohdi course is closed on Mondays.
I called several times and I was swithched off - due to be too busy on the course.
Is just not on at all !!

It seem to me that you are not interested in over-seas Golf players.

I was very diapointed and I cannot recommend this place neither I do agree dwith the 4,5 stars you have given this place

My experience I got in total is not more than 2 stars. Unfortunately that's how I feel

I think the other courses are more recommendable

A woman from Northeast India was racially discriminated by managers Ajit Pal and Sumita Thakur and was asked to leave the premises immediately. Their excuse was her "dress" . She explained that it was her traditional dress which was still rejected by the managers. They called her names "maid", "nepali" "chinki" and was ridiculed in front of other guests. Avoid this place if you can and spend your money elsewhere.

Went to Delhi Golf Club after being told as an unaccompanied guest I would be allowed on th nine hole course. When I arrived i wa told they were all booked and no room for a single golfer. I was then asked my handicap and when the number met the starter'so approval I spent time filling in forms. After a fight among the caddies to see who would carry my bag, I wa sent off those the golf cashier window here I paid a very reasonable greens fee. Then it was off to the pro shop where I wa allowed to bu a package of balls (had to negotiate down from 12 to 3) tees and a cap along with rented clubs. Again, price was reasonable. Rental clubs - not so much circa 2000 Taylormade driver and knock off Callaway 5 woods (2 of them, 1985 design and weight) and a set of locally produced irons that were a mid 1990s design and weighed a ton. Reminded me of how good clubs are today. Walked the course n95 degree heat no when I got to a refreshment stand, as far away as possible from the clubhouse, I was told I needed a coupon that had to be purchased at th greens fees counter.
Aside from an adventure and experience, the course was fun to play. Decent mid century parkland design with very good green complexes. Under aeration but they were up front about that. Caddy wa knowledgeable and good to walk wih fast pace of play

I called to reserve a tee time and was told "no problem". Just come at 6am and we'll arrange to fit you in. On the day I waited one hour before being told there was a competition. All this in a supremely unfriendly and arrogant atmosphere. If they don't want visitors, then don't accept them. I ended up on the pitch and putt with antique rental clubs. European prices and facilities which need a clean. Avoid!

I had reviewed the Delhi Golf course some time back but in my recent visit to this place i concentrated on the hidden gems of our past in the rarefied 177 acres of this picturesque grounds built in 1930.The areas of the historical monuments have shrunk as compared to the largeness of the manicured greens!

At the entrance of the Golf course one comes across the `Lal Bangla`which is said to be a perfectly proportioned building built for the mother of Shah Alam ii Begum Jan.There are a couple of other stray tombs built for many nobles like Mir Taqi, Sayyid Abid & many other unknown figures.Of the nine monuments the Barah Khamba looks interesting. The neglected history of India cries out to be heard!

If you have a spare day in NDelhi, once you've experienced this golf course, you might never get to a visit of the Taj Mahal. It is a wonderful golf course that in spite of - or maybe because of - its +100 years existence, is a great challenge when you play BT or TT. The scenery is impressive with some 500 year old monuments right on the course. It requires straight driving to avoid deep ruff, unforgiving bush and woods. Approach shots need quite some thinking to enter the greens on the right spot and avoid devilish bunkers. The greens, although well maintained, are rather slow due to humidity. If you are accustomed to fast greens, add some more force since the ball can suddenly get to an early stop halt when getting within a few feets from the hole. Once you are accustomed, reading the correct line and putting the right energy, shouldn't be a problem anymore. I made 26 strokes with a hired putter... :-)
My indian golf partners were great companions with lots of humor. The only questionable point was the flight preceeding us at a rather very slow tempo... And perhaps the traffic noise on two holes. But since the scenery is great, I never got out of the rythm. Arriving at the 18, it was plain dark (6:30 pm in September so have your tee-off reserved before 2 pm) but the green was illuminated like a football... uh... cricket stadium.
Anyway, with a green fee of barely 25 U$ or 21 €, I don't think there is a place in the world where you can get such golf value for so little money. You have to add a caddy: they are cheap (4 U$...) and very often provide good advice. Without my caddy, a card of 77 on my first round would have been impossible!

It’s a unique experience to play along with Peakoks dancing in the bunkers or old Mughal era monuments spread all over the course. While it’s a restricted membership Club, it’s open to all on payment of green fees

There are more than one course. We played half of one and half of another. The peacock course tends to shorter holes and is there is one interesting couple of holes where you play off both tees at the same time, then go and put and then walk across to your ball on the next door fairway. Elegant old colonial verandas. Recommended

We had more trouble making advance bookings for our holiday golf than for anything else on the trip. They are most unhelpful. Once we got there, communication is poor. Note that you cannot use cash to pay for food and drinks but must buys books of 'coupons' in advance from the window where green fees are paid. Get past all that and is a joy, long and tight in places with ancient tombs on many holes and peacocks walking the fairways. True traditional India.
