I found an advert for Odynovo in a magazine and contacted them on impulse as I was thinking of visiting Kerala over New Year. Aerial replied almost immediately with an exciting itinerary and with a bit of tweeking - flying into Mumbai and home via Colombo we decided to book it. Best decision ever! Aerial arranged everything from our internal flights to our tours guides and our itineraries at each destination. On arriving at Mumbai, Sunita took us to the Elephant island and around Mumbai city, confidently stopping the crazy traffic by putting her hand up and stepping in front of it. Her knowledge was impressive as well as speaking 4 languages and she kindly adjusted our timetable to meet our interests. At Cochin we met Pitchu our driver who patiently and expertly negotiated the manic traffic of Kerala. He had the patience of a saint and was so kind to us. Mr Shihab was our guide in Cochin. He was enthusiastic, funny, intelligent and went overboard to make our tour amazing, which it was.
We loved our trip to Munnar, our peaceful journey on the backwaters and our final destination, Colombo. I have already recommended Odynovo to my two daughters who are planning trips imminently and I will definitely use this wonderful company again.

Odynovo allowed customization to our needs and everything was perfect as planned by Ariel Jiang, our very competent consultant. All the guides were great. Our driver, Mr. Saudagar Singh throughout the tour was extraordinary.... kind, friendly, considerate , on time and an excellent driver ( a necessity in India.) Snacks and water were replenished daily on our 7 person van, which had wi-fi and was roomy and comfortable for our party of four..

We had an amazing experience visiting Southern India thanks to Lynn Lee and Odynovo, company which she represents. From the very beginning to the end our entire tour was professionally and perfectly organized. Lynn was answering all our questions immediately. The choice of hotels was superb, attractions chosen according to our wishes and interests. Our driver James was very professional, courteous and accommodating to our needs. Without any hesitation I can recommend Odynovo Tours and their services to all travelers - experienced or not. Thanks Lynn again for your patience and understanding.

Just back from 14 days private tour for my wife and I. India to visit Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Delhi, Shimla, Delhi! Owen Zhou was our consultant. I was very nervous about using Odynovo especially as Owen seems not to be based in India! However, my fears were groundless. Just to echo everyone else’s comments the meet and greet, provision of information, standard of drivers and guides, accommodation, everything was slick, professional and exceeded all our expectations. We commend Odynovo to you and we shall certainly be using them again, Egypt perhaps?

We recently completed our third tour with Odynovo, which was a tour of India and Sri Lanka. Once again, we had a wonderful trip, which was organized by John Hu of Odynovo. We spent two fantastic weeks in India and Sri Lanka. Our hotels selected by John were all outstanding, and our drivers in both countries were excellent as were the knowledgeable local guides. Our tour included a one-day tour of Delhi which was very good. Our driver in India, Karan, was outstanding, always on-time and safe. Our experience on this third trip with Odynovo was so positive that we are currently working with John Hu to design our next (fourth) trip!

We have just returned from an amazing trip to the Golden Triangle and Kerala with Odynovo Tours. What an amazing trip we had from start to finish. We cannot fault Odynovo, their professionalism and attention to detail. Our travel consultant was Owen Zhou who had to tolerate many emails and questions from me and he was so helpful throughout the planning process. Our drivers Mr Murli in the north and Jozef in Kerala were great and all the guides extremely knowledgeable. We will definitely use the company again. Fantastic

We have been travelling through India for almost two and a half weeks. The first week we arranged ourselves (because we attended an Indian wedding in the South of India). But for the second part we arranged the tour through Odyssey Tours.
We have been corresponding about our trip with Ariel Jiang. She offered a perfect balans between sightseeing, city and nature for us. Along our trip through the North of India we had a great driver (mr. Vipin Kumar). He is a very experienced and kind driver. He brought us safely from Delhi, via Agra and Ranthambore, to Jaipur.
During our trip we have been guided by several representatives of Odyssey. In Jaipur we had a superb time with Seema Kohli, she showed us all the great things in the pink cit, the Amber fort and let us experience real Indian streetlife.
And we loved the stories told by Oves (Mumbai), he guided us through Mumbai and especially the part of Mumbai (Dharavi), his hometown.
The hotels were great, but when we are visiting India again, we would search a little bit more for the oriental style hotels instead of the business hotels. And also located a bit more in the city centre.
Nevertheless we had a great time in India. Thank you all at Odyssey Tours for making our trip so complete and

We were lucky enough to see the Taj at sunset and at sunrise. It was well worth the crowds and heat. We hired a photographer while there. He took great pictures and was able to make sue we got the right spot. Be sure to ask what you are getting and for how much before you agree to it.

Overall, our experience with India Odyssey was great. Upon arrival we were given all of our needed travel documents, tickets, itineraries, etc. We were even given a cell phone to use for local calling. Our driver, Ram Singh, was great. Very helpful, educational and friendly. Our guides at each location were also very knowledgeable. Booking on line before the trip was very easy and the representatives were quick in answering any type of question that I had.
The only complaint I had was the shopping that you were taken to each day geared for luxury tourists. While the good were beautiful, we were not interested in a $10,000 dollar hand woven rug. After a couple of such shopping trips, we declined this part of the day and it was no problem.

Our family(2 adults, 4 kids) returned from our two week excursion with Odyssey tours on August 20th. We were very satisfied with the company and would recommend them wholeheartedly. We were particularly impressed on day one of our tour when we were picked up at the airport. We were greeted and our youngest son was presented with a birthday card and gift(it was his birthday). A cake waited for him at the hotel as well. It was a complete surprise and a great start to a great two weeks.
There were a few instances that were less than perfect, but we felt that this was to be expected on a tour of this length and not every moment would be perfect. The company was on top of everything and made any changes we requested quickly and efficiently. We were most impressed with our driver Pyarelal who we met on the first day of the tour. He remained with us for the duration of the tour and was excellent. We expressed our fear of fast and aggressive driving. Our driver respected our wishes and drove slowly and carefully the entire time. He was so accommodating and consistently went out of his way to help us and adjust the tour as needed (due to sickness, fatigue, etc). At times, he also became the tour guide when we requested a particular guide not work with us the next day. Most of our guides were great. The guides in Udaipur and Jodphur were both stellar. So knowledgeable, thorough, well spoken and friendly. Our guides in Jaipur and Delhi were less accommodating than the previous ones (sort of let us walk around alone without explaining the details of what we were observing). We had requested a change in guides for the next day. The tour company quickly made the necessary arrangements and provided an alternate guide for us. The hotels we stayed in were all clean and beautiful. We stayed at ITC, Taj and L Meridian. The service for all, but one, was terrific. Only the wait staff service of the last hotel in Delhi(Le Meridian) left much to be desired (their housekeeping staff was great though). Taj being the best. If you can, always go with Taj chain of hotels. They are great.

What basically is the difference on Odessey tours of India between 4 & 5 star hotels. Are 4 okay?

Dear Andre,
We select the hotels based on our Odyssey standard. Basically, the difference between 4 & 5 star hotels we ranked would be the room size, hotel facility, service, etc. Take the hotel in Agra for instance, we have Trident Hotel Agra as a 5 star hotel and Four Points by Sheraton as a 4 star hotel. Hopefully it would be more clear now!

Yes, we can arrange the tour as you mentioned, but personally, I like to suggest you to spend longer time on this trip, it will be too rushed for you to make a round trip between Delhi and Agra within 24 hours, beside Taj Mahal, there are still something interesting worth visiting in Agra, so it will be much better if you can stay overnight in Agra and go back to Delhi on the next day. Hi: Thank you for your reply. I am contacting Mr Kyle Li for our proposed Sri Lanka tour. My friend and I have some doubts about this trip: Though we like Kyle, and his approach, he lives near Hongkong; how will he be our guide in Sri Lanka? Or do we have some other guide? If he is our guide, who'd pay for his expenses (flight, stay and food for him)?
ii) He wants us to pay extra 3% charge for the credit card payment. But we have a Visa card with free commission; and as such we don't need to pay the 3 % commision on every payment. Will you clarify on this?

Hi, my contact Don was not based in India either but he organised the tour. We were collected at the airport by a Company Representative and a driver. We had the driver for the complete tour except our short trip to Varinassi. At each of our destinations we were met by a tour guide who spent half a day with us taking us around all the attractions (entry included in the package), we then asked the guide to take us to a nice local restaurant and we said goodbye to him/her then and spent the rest of the day doing our own thing with the driver at our disposal.
We paid a tip to the driver and the guide but no other expenses. All our breakfasts were also included in our package as well as a couple of dinners.
We paid the 3% commission with the credit card so sorry cannot help you with that part.

Hi: I am an India-born and now US citizen and Overseas citizen of India. I want to have a 4 days-3 nights tour of Srilanka tailored to my needs. Am I considered an Indian national and get price quote as Indian national? Or is there a diffr=-erent price quote for US citizens even though you have OCI?
Though this Qn & Ans service is for India Tours, can you answer this for my Srilanka tour for 4 days from Dec 10, 2015 with airfare hotel stay, vegetarian food and A/c van with English/Tamil speaking driver-cum-guide?

Glad to hear from you again! Based on the facilities in India and for a better tour experience, we usually recommend 4 star hotels or above. But it can be adjusted according to your specific needs. As to the travel time, October and November is the best to enjoy north India.
