A must visit in Delhi , It was also the first structure to use red sandstone at such a scale. The tomb was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993. Inspired by Persian architecture.

I'd rather call it a necropolis since it is dotted with countless sarcophagi. Grand and constructed with red sandstone and white marble, it is the precedent of the Taj Mahal. A deserved World Heritage Site.
