About
At 'The Delhi Way' we offer tours within the city of Delhi for individuals & small groups; our tours are a combination of sightseeing, shopping, food & great conversation. These trips can be anywhere from 2 hours to 2 days. And since we personally accompany the traveller, we ensure that they enjoy their local experiences in the city without worrying about getting lost or any other anxieties they may have. We also offer ‘interest’ based experiences like cooking classes, shopping for an Indian outfit & many more. We custom design travel experiences especially for women called tours4womenbywomen. Outside Delhi excursion includes a day trip to Agra that goes beyond the typical Mughal history, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Mumbai, Bangalore, Varanasi etc. So, if you're in Delhi on vacation or work, and want to experience the city the local way get in touch with us.

The Delhi Way beautifully arranged every last detail of our visit across northern india - we visited Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Varanassi. Well educated local experts with amazing personalities accompanied us in each city all of whom far surpassed our expectations. It was a very authentic and personalised tour, including amazing sites, tastes and sounds you will never find in travel books. Highly recommended!

The day tour we took was incredible - our guide, Priyanka, was incredibly friendly and did an amazing job of breaking down the historical context of Delhi in a way that was relatable for us. We started our tour at a gorgeous step well that dated back centuries - and then navigated through Old Delhi, finally ending the tour at a spiritually invigorating visit to a Sikh Temple. All throughout, Priyanka showcased her expertise, introducing us to local merchants and serving up foods and flavours of all kinds throughout the day (my favourite was our stop at Karim's for tandoori fish and delicious Moghlai curries). I'd strongly recommend The Delhi Way to other travelers for an authentic tour of Delhi with local experts who know it better than anyone else!

I booked this tour as a way to bond with my colleagues who had traveled to India for two weeks spent working long days with our new India-based team. After only seeing Delhi during the commute between our hotel and the office, spending a full day seeing everything Old and New Delhi had to offer was amazing. From the walking tour to the restaurant to the shopping, Priyanka was a delightful ambassador who felt like an old friend by the end of the day. I highly recommend this company.

I and a couple of my lawyer friends decided that Dec was the perfect month to explore a bit of our city. Some were like no we don't want a history lesson and some were like tours are boring etc etc. We found the Delhi way TDW as they call it. I think when the TDW team met us they exactly knew what we wanted. So our tour of Shahajanabad was filled with interesting stories, humorous tit-bits, a bit of trespassing which we wanted :), rickshawrides, walking through beautiful undiscovered alleys and delicious food.
We loved the tour. Kudos to the co-founders Priyanka & Divya

A girlfriend and I chose this company while in Delhi recently for two 6 hour day tours and both tours were excellent! Booking and communication was easy with flexibility to choose your own itinerary. We decided on one day for Old Delhi and the other New Delhi, both were very memorable. Diva & Prianka are friendly, fun and knowledgeable local guides who speak great english. We learned a lot about the local history and culture, tasted some delicious street food and visited awesome shops. We saw and experienced so much more than than we would have on our own.
Thank you so much.

Some of my close friends had come down from the US and they wanted to see Delhi and around. Being a Delhiite myself I hadn't really explored my city. So me and my wife accompanied them to the Old Delhi walking tour.
I really wasn't sure in the beginning not because of the company The Delhi Way came highly recommended but i didn't want to go see a lot of monuments. But it was an enriching experience and so much fun, Prianka took us through these really narrow alleys which we didn't even know existed, we tried some delicious street food from ancient old shops, my wife and friends shopped in kinari bazaar - the quality was good and so reasonable.
And we ended with lunch at Karims :).
My friends also took tours in Agra, Bangalore, Goa and Jodhpur and really had good things to say. Wish more operators took the personal approach and meticulous planning like these girls did. It was better what we could have done ourselves. Kudos to the team and wishing them the very best in the future !

We arranged a week long trip around several cities in India (Jaipur, Agra, Jim Corbett) and thedelhiway sorted us out with a driver for the week as well as guides in each of the cities.
The driver, Dinesh, and the car were fantastic and, whilst one of the most expensive parts of our trip, totally worth it and the price was fair compared with other private car hire services we checked it against. It made the trip so much easier, especially for my wife who was the first timer in India.
The guides were also top class and very different to each other so it made the trip worthwhile.
We had to arrange our own hotels but we got some good advice which ones to go for from Divya at thedelhiway, although it would of course have been easier if it had been all in one.
We also took the time to go back and forth with her on the route to make sure it was as efficient as possible and we also had a friend recommend several activities between the cities that added to our experience and broke up the long drive. Divya was very flexible in making that happen but definitely make sure you're seeing the things you want to see.

Disclaimer: Although I took a tour in November 2019, the website doesn’t allow me to choose a date before October 2020.
So here it is: Am an avid traveller and never really taken many tours, one has to have a mindset for the same and am I glad I took the tours with the Delhi way.
So it was our 20 years college reunion in Goa and we met up in Delhi. We took the Old Delhi tour and being mostly guys on the trip we asked the company to curate a tour which is of less of history and lots of food :). The Delhi Way designed a half day tour filled with walks, discovering hidden alleys, mysterious havelis. History was there but delivered in a really interesting manner and yes ofcourse lots of food. We all had a blast.

We are a fun foodie Punjabi family from Delhi. It was my turn to plan a cousins get together and i wanted to do something different. I contacted the Delhi way and asked them to plan a discovering and eating tour. Food of utmost importance :).
We were 8 of us and we did an Old Delhi tour. It was such an enjoyable day, the non history boys of the group also loved it. Prianka and Divya were so much fun. We walked through these unknown alleys, trespassed some havelis which was good fun, took richshaws, ate and ate all the street foods from century old outlets.
The history was so interesting and they explained it in such easy terms with references from the past.
Kudos to the team and post the pandemic am surely gonna take a few more of their tours.

Sounds great, but how were these guys on price?
I ask because in my travels I've found locals in less expensive locales that charge very western prices.
Thanks

Good question and I agree with you ....The Delhi Way was a bit higher BECAUSE, in my opinion, they were more personable and personal. During my 2 weeks in the "Golden Triangle" of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, I used three different tour companies. The Delhi Way worked with the individual tour group and comfortably catered to our preferences (i.e. actual sites and times at each attraction, food choices - to include snacks and drinks in the car, level and amount of information shared - one tour included children and they made it interesting to all of us, etc.) I also appreciated the guides being women as most of my visit I felt surrounded by men. Sometimes you get what you pay for and I think the difference in price was well worth it!
