I have never written a review in the past but I had such an amazing experience with ziptrips I felt compelled to make this my first. I have 12 years in the tourism and hospitality business and their professionalism and level of service were second to none. I came to India for my first time alone. As a solo traveler my main concern is safety. I ended up booking two trips with ziptrips online, separate within 48hours with only a 24 hour turn around with not one hiccup along the way. They were able to provide me with the same guide/driver as the day before! Zip trips made the booking process easy using correspondence via chat in real time, even making suggestions and sending me links to help my decision based on our conversation. Once I chose the trip, I entered my credit card and the whole thing was done in less then 15 minutes with less then 24 hours notice. There are no hidden fees and everything is very transparent. My driver Avishek was professional at all times and gave me suggestions as to what to do and where to go along the way. As a single female traveling for the first time to India he made me feel safe, comfortable, and at ease. I thought he was an actual guide until he told me he was just my driver. In my eyes he was my guide! I do believe he is a huge part of what made my experience so positive. From one industry professional to another people like him are hard to come by. A true asset to have on any staff. Amani, helped me through the booking process and even called Avi several times to make sure he was on task and that I was a happy customer. She asked to speak to me directly while we were on the tour to confirm! This attention to detail and superior customer service is what sets this company apart from others. Congratulations to all on a job well done. A million thanks for providing such a wonderful experience. I would recommend this company to anyone hands down.

How can a visit to the Taj Mahal be anything but wonderful. It was recommended that we went either at sunrise or sunset and we chose sunrise. This was perfect as there were no queues (the queues were very long when we left 2 hours later) and the temperature was only 29. We had pre-booked a guide through ziptrips which was a good idea if you wanted to hear about the TM and its history plus it stops you being hassled by local tour guides and believe me they do hassle you continuously! We also went to the Red Fort which again was well worth the visit but very very hot. Not a good month to walk round monuments. It sounds obvious but take plenty of water as it is hard to buy water that is genuine bottled and a hat is also sensible. Finally be prepared for all the hawkers, they are very persistent.

We used to book trips in ziptrips 2 times and each time service was perfect. We traveled in a nice clean car with a great driver Avishek, who helped us a lot. It's expensive a bit but it worth it.

It was an amazing experience with Zip Trips. Little bit worried in the beginning that how they manage my both trips (Agra-Mathura-Vrindavan and Delhi) but they made me fill that my decision was absolutely right to go with Zip Trips. Very co-operative their staff (Mr. Setu,Amani) as both always remain in contact with me during my both trips. Definately my first preference will be Zip Trips for all my future travel planning.

caught the Shatabdi Express from Delhi to Agra. Met in Agra at the station bt a chap from Ziptrips who was holding up a placard with our name on. I wish I could remember the chaps name. So we hired an english speaking guide and a driver for the day. Excellent trip, long day. First Taj Mahal, what a beautiful place, really stunning. The guide was full of knowledge. Then we went to the Fort and then to Fatiphur Sikri. We opted to have dinner in the local Pizzaland, sad I know but I had consumed about 20 curries in 10 days and needed something simple. We finished the tour by about 5.00pm and the return train wasn't until 8.30. I wondered if you do this trip whether it would be better to get a later morning train like the Taj express. My only criticism of the day was that I insisted on no shopping and yet we still visited 2 museums which in fact were just a front for getting us to try and buy something in the attached shops.

Only thing that I liked was the website and the booking experience.

Here is a first hand experience of how you are fooled with a flashy website and a savvy customer care without any focus on the actual delivery of service. I booked a Delhi-Agra day trip one day prior to our trip (Nov 2012) based on the website and the good customer feedback (Now that I have experienced it myself, I am doubtful if the customer reviews are genuine!). I was emailed the driver details and the car # the previous evening. However when I tried to contact the driver just to confirm the pick-up address there was no response. On the day of the trip I get a random message and a call from the assigned driver Jatin about 1 hour prior to the trip that my driver was changed and my new driver will be Qurban, however the car would be the same. The scheduled time was 8.00 am at Noida but there was no sign of the driver till 8.15 am. I give him a call at 8.15 am and he tells me that he is just across the road and will be at the hotel in 2 mins. He finally arrives at around 8.30 am. I had booked a Toyota Innova for the three of us and going by the experience till now, I was expecting a decent car. To my shock the car exterior was so bad (the car was at least more than 5 years old) and all the doors/panels/bonnet looked to have been repainted multiple times by some roadside shop. Anyways I hoped the interiors would be upto mark. We loaded our luggage (as we were staying at a different hotel that night) and got into the car. While getting in I noticed one of the rear tires had very low pressure and asked the driver if he has checked the air pressure of all the four tires. He replies everything is fine, I told him sternly that before proceeding out of Noida the tire pressure will need to be checked else he is free to go back. Post the discussion I enter the car and was literally shocked to see the car interiors. The seats were stained, there was wafers/papad/etc lying all around, feathers on the dashboard and the glass was very dirty (from inside and outside). I immediately questioned the driver why the car was not cleaned so he replies back saying it was cleaned in the morning but got dirty while coming to pick us up.!!! I decided to return the car (I had already prepaid the previous day, another trick to trap the customer by offering some discount for pre-bookings) and called up the customer care executive (Amani) who had co-ordinated the booking but the mobile was switched off so I called the assigned driver but no response. By this time we reached a tire shop and inflated all the tires (which were grossly deflated). Since there was no response to my call from Jatin (didn’t know who else to contact), we decided to continue. We also noticed there was an irritating noise coming from the gear lever, so the driver replies saying “yeh to aise he hai” and rests his left leg on the gear lever to stop the noise. To distract ourselves from the noise I tried switching on the music system but to our bad luck even that was not working. We hit Yamuna express highway in some time (gave couple of warnings to follow lane and not to overspeed). The driver in the mean time tries to convince us that it was not his car and he was called in the last minute. He also tells us that these companies are poorly managed. During this brief conversation I question him again as to why he didn’t clean the car to which he replies that his job is only to drive the car. I completely lost my cool and stopped discussing with him further. Given the way he was driving+the ambience of the car, my generally “long drive friendly” daughter (3.5 years old) omitted at the toll gate. I say “long drive friendly” because we have travelled over 30,000 kms (mostly south india), covered 1,000 kms a day couple of times in our car with our daughter since the time she was born but till date she has not omitted even once. We cleaned up at the public convenience post the toll and hit the road again. Thought I should atleast inform the customer care about the same so that other guests do not go through the pain, so I tried Amani’s number again and narrated her the whole incident. She seemed to be surprised with everything I said, change of driver, tire pressure, cleanliness of the car, gear lever noise, music system not working etc. Then there was some apologies, bringing it to the notice of the CEO etc and getting back. However that was the last I spoke to anyone from the company. We reached Agra at about noon and decided to have lunch before going to the Taj. So I instructed the driver to take us to a hotel so he questions me “pehle Taj nahin karna hai kya?”. Is the driver supposed to take instructions or give instructions? We have our lunch, visit the Taj and hit the road at about 5.00 pm back to Gurgaon. Again a few warnings regarding over speeding and following lane (that is the only conversation we had with him) we finally reach Gurgaon at about 10.00 pm and release the driver. In spite of what happened during the day the driver was shameless to ask for tips, which I gave in the form of verbal abuse and sent him off.

I AGAIN URGE ALL THE FELLOW TRAVELLERS NOT TO FALL FOR ALL THE FALSE CLAIMS MADE BY THE COMPANY AND EVEN IF YOU DECIDE TO GO AHEAD DO NOT PAY UPFRONT, CHECK THE CAR/DRIVER AND THEN DECIDE.

Dear Mr. Kamath, We are extremely sorry for your experience. We work very hard to ensure high quality of service on every trip. However, there are times we fail to deliver due to human errors. We have taken a strong action and terminated our relationship with that particular provider (transporter / driver) and will no longer be doing business with them. We always want to do right by the customer and our staff has been and will be in touch with you to see how we can do right by you. We hope, you will give us an opportunity to make it right for you and also give us opportunity in future to experience our services. Best regards, Navneet

I was very happy with my Zip Trips experience! I called last-minute to see if I could book a car tour from Delhi to see the Taj Mahal. Even though it was midnight IST time, I was able to connect with a very friendly agent who answered all of my questions and let me know the tour would still be available. Great! Booking was painless and quick and lo and behold, my driver arrived a few days later promptly at 6am. I had even called a bit earlier, around 5am to make sure the driver was still ok to drive in the thunderstorm and I was greeted by another friendly agent who told me not to worry, they were very good drivers and knew how to drive in the rain, I should not have to cancel my trip. Once we arrived to Agra, we picked up our tour guide and away we went! It was our first time traveling on my own in India (without any family or friends) and my mom and I felt very safe and taken care of. We arrived back by 5pm to Delhi beating rush hour, much to the amazement of our friends and family who thought it would take the whole day. Thanks Ziptrips for the great experience!

While in New Delhi last month with my son, I decided late on a sunday night to take him to Agra in the morning. While surfing the net, I found Zip Trips and filled out all information around 5.25am for a 7am pick-up. However, I was not sure about that prompt service and called the toll-free number instead of entering the credit card. One gentleman picked up the phone and told me that no car was available. At around 7.15am, I got a call on my mobile from Amani (obviously, even if I did not complete the order and closed the website, the information entered went to the data-base which normally I do not like but in this case, I have made an exception due to the outstanding service provided by Ms. Amani). I told her about the conversation an hour back and she said she would get back to me shortly - within 5 min, she called back saying she has arranged the car and a driver would pick me up between 8.30am and 9am and asked me to pay through the website. While I was filling up credit card information, she was available on web-chat line. The driver came about 10 min late but I accepted that. Orignially, I booked for Tajmahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri - since I was going to leave by 7am. But with delayed start and later, an hour long traffic jam on arrival at Agra, forced us to abandon Fatehpur Sikri plan since the driver and guide both advised it would not be possible. Ms. Amani was very accomodative at that point to refund Rs. 1200 to me for the unused portion. The driver was very nice and safe - I have not had much occassion to get safe drivers on the road from various agencies. But I would love to get Ashwini again in my next trip. We also got a very nice and knowledagble guide to show us Tajmahal and Agra fort. Although it was not my first trip, for my son, it was and the guide took special care to explain to my 14 year old all the historical significance of the places. Ms. Amani further followed up with us towards the end of our trip and the next morning, ensuring I get the refund to my bank account directly. This was followed by another email confirmaiton of the refund a week later. Overall, I am very pleased with the level of service provided by Ms. Amani, the driver and the guide. I usually get this kind of service in many countries during my frequent travel but not in India. I not only recommend Ms. Amani and her team at Zip Trip but also have saved her direct number to contact her again in the future when I need such kind of trips.

Very well planned and scheduled right from Airport pickup till drop off. We were able to cover all places as planned in Mathura, Agra, Jaipur and New Delhi. Our driver Mr.Anup Singh is very kind enough to drive us through to all places with smile in his face at all times even in the mid of heavy traffic and rough weather. Guide provided to us in Agra, and Sikri are very knowledgeable about the place and able to show places in a timely fashion. We really enjoyed the trip and the car was very comfortable to us. The best part I like both Ms.Amani and Mr.Mouzam were constantly checking with us the travel and trip progress.
Unfortunately, Guide assigned to us in Jaipur did not show up. Ziptrips refunded the amount charged for guide in less than 3 days.
