This museum is dedicated to India's first (and only) female Prime Minister. There are lot of photographs & memorabilia of hers on display. Of historical significance & importance. the most haunting memory is of the sari that she was wearing when she was assassinated.

This museum makes and interesting counterpoint to the Nehru Museum and the political and personal lives of father and daughter who dominated India for much of the 20th Century.

The place offers historical insight and facts about Gandhi family. The spot where she was martyred, her last worn clothes, and belongings are emotional. Her house and belongings are also exhibited, which give one the feeling that she led a simple life and was hard working.

I didn't know she was, but not only did I leave wanting to know more, the place itself though slightly small and congested had within something you have to be part of. I felt with a warriors will and a spirit filled with ferocity.
