Quite a pleasant complex in the style of the Red Fort, but after visiting the Red Fort, Agra Fort, Humayan's Tomb and Qutub Minar it was slightly underwhelming.

Here is an ancient fort that gives the visitor a real feel of Ancient Indian History. But do watch your step very carefully as you move around since there can be unfortunate accidents otherwise. Place seems to need more safety signage and protection grills.

i have been paying visits to Purana Qila, since last 15 years. when i was young and fresh, two very vital things affected my mind, one is that Mr Lutyens aligned the Rajpath along the old fort as if to converge the old with the new. the second is that during the partition of 1947, thousands of migrating muslims swarmed... Purana Qila's English translation tells you what to expect from a place whose name is Old Fort. It's one of the famous forts in Delhi adjoining a lovely boating lake, and Zoo. It's a good place to be on a nice clear afternoon preferably in winters.
