For a young 20 something guy, it isn't easy to splurge on books. This place offers the perfect remedy. Second hand books of various vintages can be bought if only you have the patience to delve into the huge stacks of books scattered about.
For the first timer, I recommend that you wander a bit observing the book stalls checking whether they have the kind of books that you're looking for. Do not go overboard on seeing a book being sold at half its cover price. There is a good possibility that you can buy it for cheaper a few stalls down the line. Always bargain. Try to watch a few hardened regulars negotiate with the seller before you proceed to buy. Some shopkeepers know their stuff very well, but most have little clue of the value of their books. It isn't unheard of to find a first edition copy among a collection of Mills and Boons say. So buckle up and dig deep into those tomes and rest assured that someone there has the book that you're looking for at a very cheap price.
PS: Just so you don't end up like me, make sure the Sunday you go doesn't fall before any major holiday. I was left all high and dry when I went there the Sunday before Durga Puja.

The Weekend Book Market has colossal collection of books at inexpensive prices. The market is HUGE! Go as early as you can to grab the best finds. We reached at 9 in the morning and it was buzzing with people; now you decide how early! This isn’t the place for you if you’re specifically looking for a particular title or edition. It is a extraordinary plunge into the obscure brimming with lavish possibilities. Dive deep into the ocean to find a unique pearl. Sellers aren't aware of book names and authors; so you'll have to do all the hard work to look for the book you want and frankly, it's a tough task to find one in the huge pile. And everything is bargain-able here. Price can be one-fourth of the market price only if you know how to bargain.

This weekend Book market is located at Darya Gunj very near to Chandni chowk. On every Sunday Book lovers visit this place to buy books of all types at just rock bottom price. You can buy books/magazines etc across all areas. You need to bargain a lot at this place. Mainly second hand books are sold here but also sometime you may find brand new books and novels at 50% discount. You need to search for your choice of book out of lakhs of books. But interesting

This attraction seems to be quite popular among the locals. On Sundays mornings mostly locals flock here to buy books on diverse subjects. I spent almost 2-3 hours roaming here, and sighted several and bought two vintage books. This is no doubt a bibliophile's delight but one has to haggle mercilessly.

Here you can find a book from Rs. 10 to Rs. 1000. A mills & boon sits next to a Mein Kamph, while the best of Jamie Oliver’s cooking can be found next to Picaso’s brush strokes. That’s the beauty of this place. You can find something regular, vintage, unique, rare and simply idiotic or exotic on the same path.
Famous with students who want second hand medical or Engg books, it's actually a place everyone must visit one. Sunday mornings is the perfect time to visit.

Was there on a Monday and there was plenty of nice people. Like everywhere theres dishonest people and the store I attach the picture too the manager was rude and increased the price from 100 to 300 when I asked why his books was more expensive. Keep away from there! Otherwise good experience
