This Church, also known as Viceroy's Church earlier, is one of the most beautiful and magnificent churches in India. This is located next to Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament House on Church Road. Built over a period of 8 years, this was completed in 1935 AD. The church has beautifully curved high arches and delicate domes, which won the heart of the then Viceroy Lord Irwin.
I am not sure visitors should include this attraction in their travel plan as there is no mention of time people can visit this beautiful church. At my first visit, the watchman told that it was closed for lunch and I could come after 2 PM. Next visit after 2 PM again I was told it was closed and should come again. When asked when exactly one could visit, he was not sure. I managed to see it in next visit but those for a short visit to Delhi should avoid taking trouble to visit this otherwise beautiful church.

Cathedral Church of the Redemption in New Delhi, also known as the Viceroy Church, is among the most beautiful and magnificent churches in India.
It is home to a vibrant parish and a wonderful tribute to Indian Christian life.

A very nice place to spend a few minutes to thank God almighty for all the blessings you have in life. A quiet place, in the middle of the capital city. This is a catholic church and they have mass in English on most days.

Visited on a sunday and it was heaving outside on the well kept lawns and garden with sequential attenders - as services are held throughout the am in Hindi, Tamil, English ....Relaxed atmosphere. Praise group of young adults and they led some of service. Yes it is somewhat round the back of the rashtrapati bhavan- so prepare for a long walk around or get in + possible rampant monkey troups or get a richshaw who knows where it is!! as the security means you have to walk around the govt. buildlings to access it. There are loos in the adjacent building if open people will politely let you use. Benches to sit in grounds + Colgate squirrels on the trees!

Came to a couple of services here. Three services, the earliest of which is in English, which is then followed by a Hindi service. Contemporary worship in the evening. Enjoyed all the services, and there is a very fine organ. Lovely building as well. Congregation was very nice, warm and welcoming.
