The first things comes to mind is a question "When Indian Railway will shut down open toilets" . The railway premises and railway tracks were so dirty. There were couple of people cleaning the tracks without even wearing a hand glows or shoes. There were stray dogs roaming around. A couple of policemen were sitting at the entrance, but not much of security checking happening. People were moving in and out freely with bags and luggage without bothering a security check. The announcement were given the impression that more than 50% of the trains were always late. (I don't know the exact figure, though). Okay guys, after all, it is managed by the Government. What else to talk about it. Take care. Pradeep

No lifts or escalators make this a really inconvenient station. If you have an amount of luggage or you are wheelchair bound, you have no choice but to hire a porter. Like New Delhi station, the porters a prone to seriously overcharging. The official rate is Rs40 per head-load, but that won't stop them from trying for 10-15 times that amount. There is a prepaid auto-rickshaw stand, but the drivers will all try to tell you it isn't and will offer to take you wherever you want to go at 2-3 times the going rate. The station is dirty, and there are not nearly enough seats available on the platforms.

Inspired by the Railway magazine
RAILBANDHU September 2014 issue Article This meal is fit for you
by one NEETI NIGAM about RAJDHANI Express Train. I planned a trip to Secunderabad along with a couple from USA. I booked FIRST CLASS AC tickets in NIZAMMUDIN-Secunderabad DURONTO EXPRESS for 01.12.2014 and return tickets for 07.12.2014.
I was delighted to travel till I boarded train. Immediately on boarding the train I realised I have done a blunder by believing Rail magazine. It was horrible, we were allotted Cabin A in H1 Coach. Seats were broken, dirty window glasses were dirty and it was not possible to see through them I called the attendant who supplied us blankets, sheets etc. Thanks these were neat and clean, I requested to get the cabin clean which he did. The came the catering , bearer arrived and asked if we would like tea. When I saw the person was preparing tea near toilets I asked him is it hygienic I was told there is no alternative, I asked him to call Supervisor , he too expressed his enability to help in this matter. Next came dinner, it was too horrible, it was wraped in aluminium foils and cold. I made a call at IRCTC complaint centre and I was assured they will revert back after resolving the issue, which they never till today. I advise traveller not to waster their money and time to travel by these so called PREMIUM TRAINS OF THE INDIAN RAILWAYS. A photograph is enclosed . I am also sending this picture to RAILWAY MINISTER for his information.
Keep up INDIAN RAILWAYS.

Its obviously the people who land up there who make the place dirty but i also doubt the cleanliness staff.. Have been seated for close to 3 hrs once and hardly found anyone doing a round. The only platform checked and cleaned is the Platform 1. The rest are ignored and are smelly and needs a lot of attention.

Took august Rajdhani train to Mumbai from here. This railway station is comparatively cleaner as compared to other stations in delhi. Better managed.Though no where as per International standards I will rate it average as per Indian standards.
