Highly recommended for backpackers & budget travellers. One of the best thing was 'Women Safety'. When I was travelling back from Agra to Delhi I informed the owner that we might reach late. I shared my live location & then he gave me a contact number of night staff for assistance. We reached back home around 12:45 at night. Paharganj is quite safe for travellers but it's also depends on where you staying.
We travelled when the temperature was around 43-45°. We were on budget travel so we booked a non-ac room but surprisingly the room had a cooler. Washrooms were clean too and also we got a bottle of cool water for free. It's a residential locality so you will find shops, food stalls just outside the building. And cycle rickshaws at walkable distance of 2 minutes. And it's really a great stay to feel the 'Local vibes'.

Since I didn't want to spend ages travelling to Agra by bus or car, the hotel manager booked express trains for me for the outward and return journey. Self-booking is said to be a nightmare for foreigners :). The Taj Mahal really looks magnificent. I was even more impressed by the older "baby Taj Mahal" (see photos). The driver also showed me other places such as marble restorers and carpet weavers. There is a small forest near Agra train station where you can "recharge your batteries" and have a warm evening meal on the Gatiman Express. For me, who doesn't like museums, it was a lovely day.

I aways stay at this Guest house since 2008. Mamaji and Nodi are very kind and always welcome me warmly. It is located in a very nice area, a little away from the business of bazar road in Pharganj. Still it is one of the cheapest. I feel very safe in this family guest house. I will stay again when I go to New Delhi. Thank you mamaji and Nodi san.
