We are based in Delhi and offer a variety of tours in Delhi and from Delhi to several destinations. Our tours tend to get beneath the surface of the destination to explore less known and unique aspects. Various elements are combined to give guests the option of a complete experience - Ayurvedic massages, walks along the back of beyond regions, contact with families, home visits and dinner with families, witnessing performing arts, theater, etc. All these and more fit into the scheme of our tours that bring to our guests a feel and a sense of fulfillment. Trinetra Tours are first rate and without hesitation we would recommend booking with this excellent travel company. We live in the UK and prior to any trip the communication with their Indian offices are both proficient and prompt. Their friendly and caring approach is evident from the outset. We have booked and travelled with Trinetra Tours on several occasions over the years, with South India for nearly a month being the most recent . One of their many qualities is that Trinetra are always very willing to accommodate the client’s needs and are therefore flexible in customising the travel programme accordingly. Trinetra is a travel company that truly cares about their clients and if any problems are encountered, incidentally which are few, the team are always there to resolve and find a solution. Their travel programmes are both imaginative and creative to ensure that India is truly seen from all perspectives. On this trip to Southern India it was so diverse and every day was a different quality experience. We have travelled all over India with Trinetra and each trip is memorable and their travel knowledge and expertise is apparent through the programme itinerary they deliver and we see places that would simply not be in our radar. Outstanding accommodation in excellent locations is always chosen and all the drivers, guides are superb and deliver exceptional service. The cars are always sparklingly clean and very comfortable. This is a travel company with the highest integrity and delivers what they promise. We travel extensively throughout the world and Trinetra Tours is probably one of the best travel companies we have ever used.

We usually travel independently, but for this trip to India we decided to do a tour. Trinetra was highly recommended to me by my brother and his wife who travelled with this company a few years ago. I could not be happier with my experience from the beginning to the end. Trinetra is based in Delhi and the staff know and understand India intimately, so you can be sure that they will propose an itinerary that includes the best that India has to offer. Furthermore, they are responsive to the customer’s interests and budgetary limitations. The tour was thoughtfully organised, which for us included some walking and little adventures that took us off the tourist trail, and everything proceeded without a hitch. We had local, knowledgeable guides with good English in every town and city we visited. The drivers were all skilful, safe and reliable; the cars were clean and comfortable. The hotels were a better standard than we expected and the food was generally fine. Every step of the way we felt like we were in safe hands, totally supported. Our contact in the Delhi office, Rohit, was always available to deal effectively with any little issues that arose - he was very polite and helpful in all our dealings. We had an amazing time in India; our very happy experience was due in no small part to Trinetra. We highly recommend Trinetra to other tourists who seek a unique travel experience, offering wonderful value at a reasonable cost.

My family had the privilege to work with Trinetra to organize custom traveling in India for about 10 days.
All through the process their service was beyond compare. I worked with their representative for several months finalizing all the details of our custom tour, and during this process they were always prompt with all responses and very helpful with all the information they provided. Their service was professional and timely. They were eager to help and answer my numerous questions to tailor a trip that would be best suited for my family, without pushing any activities that I did not want.
Once we arrived in India, Trinetra amazed us with their attention to every detail and always being exactly where they needed to be and when. Not a single arrangement was amiss, and at each of our stops, their local guides were always courteous and happy to accommodate our requests and occasional change to the itinerary. We traveling from Delhi to Agra, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Each one of the travel arrangements and local tours went off flawlessly. Everything was done in a way to be enjoyable for every member of the family and they always did everything with the utmost friendliness.
I specially am grateful to Mahendra for accommodating all my requests during the planning process and to Rohit, for making sure no detail of our trip was forgotten while we were India. We always looked forward to seeing him greet us at random hours of the day or night at the airport, always with a smile. By the end, I felt as though Trinetra had taken care of us as family, and we were so sad when it all came to an end.
We would not hesitate to travel with Trinetra again (and i definitely hope such an opportunity will come again). We would also recommend Trinetra to anyone else traveling to India without any question.

Trinetra arranged our 10day trip and what a trip it was!
From our first email interaction to saying goodbye, their service was truly flawless. All their staff couldn’t have been more helpful and kind.
We had a rough idea of what we wanted to do, which Trinetra tweaked and then executed. Their prices were very fair and the company is incredibly trusting - booking our hotels and flights without taking any money from us until only a few weeks before.
The tour itself was unbelievably smooth - every new stop a Trinetra rep met us. Our driver, Ramesh, was great. The car super comfortable. All the guides in each city were brilliant.
We really cannot criticise any of the service / staff / activities.
Could not recommend this small company more highly - please use them to plan your trip to India!!

I had for a long time wanted to visit Varanasi with my family, but, had heard awful stories of how touts and charlatans posing as priests harass travellers who are traveling by themselves. Following my detailed online research of travel companies offering tours to Varanasi, I chose Trinetra Tours for our trip. I am so happy and relieved that we chose Trinetra Tours. They patiently heard our interests which were primarily to experience the spirituality, foods and genuine silk shopping. The tour that Trinetra designed met all these expectations and beyond. They booked a hotel for us that was right on the banks of river Ganges. So, we could easily walk out and explore independently during our free time the vibrancy of Varanasi’s ghats . We were assigned an excellent guide. Of course he was knowledgeable, but, was extremely patient and flexible. He gave us deep insights into the cultural legacy of Varanasi. We felt so well acquainted with the stories of the ancient temples and the significance of the various rituals.
Then, noticing our interest in foods, Trinetra Tours recommended some very unique restaurants that served ethnic cuisines of Varanasi. Our favourite was the Thali meal at the Shivaya restaurant. This was an incredible and well laid out assortment of mouth watering foods and desserts . We also relished some of the traditional street foods that were recommended to us.
We were also given a deep insight into the silk weaving home industry and were offered a guided tour of a silk weaving center. It was revealing to see the work done on traditional and simple equipments by the nimble fingers of the artisans. We also were taken to a reputed silk store where we were shown differences between true silk and the one that had impurities. We found the prices to be extremely reasonable, and, I must say that we did quite a lot of damage to our wallets, but, did not mind this as we not only bought quality silk materials, but, felt good gratifying the humble silk weaver at the end of the line.
We have been very satisfied by the service rendered by Trinetra Tours and shall certainty recommend them to our friends and families. Their attention to details was exemplary.

We have just returned from a 13 night tour of north and south India organised by Trinetra Tours and I cannot speak highly enough of them and their representatives. The whole process has been a joy from initial contact with Tapas at Trinetra through deciding where and what to do to finally taking the tour, it exceeded our expectations and provided us with memories to treasure.
Trinetras choice of hotels was varied, from a five bedroom havelli to a 5 star international but each one was distinctive and it would be difficult to fault any of them and the tour was good value for money.
Our drivers and guides were, almost without exception, friendly, informative and keen to make sure your holiday experience was a good one, we even got invited to a family celebration which was a highlight.
Feedback during the booking process was good and responses to emails were quick, even when we had a minor hiccup during the tour a phone call got things sorted immediately.
So have no reservations about booking with Trinetra, you will not be disappointed.

We have just arrived home after a private 18 day tour from Delhi, around Rajasthan and through to Varanasi. It was excellent - well priced and so well organised. All the reviews are correct - this company is fantastic. They really care and their pricing is better than Australian companies.
We mostly stayed in beautiful Indian owned heritage hotels and our driver Bantu Bhardwaj, who safely took us on our amazing tour, was the best. He was kind, patient, excellent at dodging all the obstacles on Indian roads and very aware of our needs.
Like another reviewer, we enjoyed our luxurious hotels and did amend our itinerary occasionally so we could spend a little bit of downtime utilising the facilities. With this kind of tour you are able to make changes as you go.
We have never been on a tour before so this was a huge learning curve. We knew we required help for our first trip to India, but as very independent travellers we had to get used to being so well looked after. Read all the reviews and decide what you want and Mahendra and the team will streamline a trip of a lifetime to suit your needs. We would not hesitate to use Trinetra again and, with their help, we would probably strike out alone a little bit more.
Our only slight irritation was some of the guides.. These guides are well trained and have a lot of local knowledge and we valued their help. But because we had 10 different guides, one for each major stop, we did receive a very similar spiel about religion and history a few too many times. If you go on a group tour with one guide this would not be an issue.
Make sure you do a little bit of research before you go so you know what you want. This company is brilliant. They are hard working and will give you a tailor made and memorable experience.

Our family of 4 adults booked a Golden Triangle Tour with an extended stay in Delhi with Trinetra, and I can only praise the utmost professionalism and courtesy of all the company representatives whom we came in contact with throughout our stay.
To start with , the initial communication, enquiries & booking process with Mahendra Pal were an absolute pleasure ; all of my questions & queries were responded to not only promptly, but also in a comprehensive way. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and this went a long way towards reassuring me that booking this trip directly with a locally based Tour Operator was the right thing to do, rather than use a UK based agent.
Things kept getting better from then on during and up to the end of your stay, from the welcome at the airport, the guides and company representatives who were always on time and very knowledgeable in each city we visited. The choice of hotels was spot on, and the pace and range of activities proposed were again perfect for us. The driver who was allocated to us for the duration of the tour was also punctual and helpful at all times, could even speak a little bit of English, and his driving skills were excellent which is of paramount importance when driving around in India !
So needless to say that I wholeheartedly recommend using Trinetra’s services , and will myself definitely use them for any other trip in the future.

From my very first email enquiry with Trinetra tours, I knew I had found something special. Tapas (the owner and founder) and I became instant pen pals, sending notes back and forth as I asked questions, provided wishlists of sights and he developed our dream itinerary, adding sights and experiences only someone who knows India can provide. We landed in Delhi and proceeded on a journey that included Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra, Tadoba (Tiger Reserve), Mumbai, Varanasi, Goa, Cochin and Alleppey. It was a journey of senses, spirit and beauty into worlds we had never even imagined. People ask me, “What was your favorite place?” And I can truly say that there was no one favorite spot, thing or moment. Each place was unique and special. So many, many highlights along the way... And we experienced this amazing trip because of the care and design Trinetra Tours put into creating each step along this journey.
In each destination, we had a private guide and driver. And because they were from that very region, we learned so much beyond what a standard package trip can provide. Our guides were full of rich stories and helped us to understand local customs, traditions and more. We came away with not only the gift of having seen India, but with an amazing sense of the people of India. And that truly is what makes this country so special - the people, from Tapas down to the beautiful woman in her amazing sari walking down the street and smiling. We loved, loved, loved our journey through this incredible country of mystical madness and would not hesitate to travel here again - under the caring guidance of Trinetra Tours. We are forever grateful.

We began email consultations with Trinetra in mid December 2019 for our
Feb 2020 holiday after a lengthy and extremely frustrating attempt at
having the concierge from a high end hotel/resort we were staying at in
the Kovalam area help to make some travel reservations for a portion of our
India tour. Finally we decided to research on trip advisor where we found
the highly recommended Trinetra Tours and after we began our initial email
conversations with them we could see why. Both Tapas and Praveen went
beyond the call of duty for us! They were on top of their game the entire
time with fast efficient replies to all questions we asked with the utmost
patience at our many many questions. And after we had it all booked, I
realized I had given them the wrong dates by one day which could have
changed so many things but they were able (and very kindly I might add) to
make those changes easily for us. We gave them the outline and they
filled in the blanks recommending highlights in detail and the best way to
do it. We had the same driver (Mr Johnson) for the entire tour and a
guide for just a half day tour who spoke excellent English. As we began
our tour in Cochin and ended up in Kovalam, we needed a reliable driver
with a great van to transport the 4 of us and luggage on our many hour drive which they sourced out and provided. Mr. Johnson made us feel safe and cared for and got us
to where we were going on time always with a smile and a bottle of water.
There was a last minute change due to my misunderstanding on one part of
our tour with our arrival time for a half day houseboat which Mr Johnson
handled brilliantly on our behalf with his Trinetra office and like magic, the
houseboat tour was changed for the corrected time we needed to get us to
our next destination on time. Payment (both the deposit and final payment)
were made easily and securely online. This company cares deeply and
sincerely for their clients and wish for us all to see and enjoy incredible India. I would without hesitation recommend this company and would use them in any future travel.

Marzo sería un muy buen momento para viajar y el clima no sería cálido ni frío. Solo a finales de abril hace calor. Además, el norte de India esperará lluvias en algún momento de julio o agosto.

Hola, el Tour lo diseñamos nosotros eligiendo las ciudades y excursiones que preferíamos. Sus sugerencias fueron acertadas.
Todas las tiendas a que nos llevaron tenían artesanos trabajando, lo que nos resultó instructivo. Nunca nos obligaron a comprar nada.

Hi, my wife and I are trying to choose a good private tour company for India and Nepal. One that I can speak to over the phone from the US. I have contacted a few but want your opinion please on Trinetra Tours. Do their guides take you to commission stores and try to push you to buy things? Are the guides flexible with your schedules? Are the hotels very nice ? Any useful information would be greatly appreciated. Gah k you !!

We LOVED Trinetra. We corresponded mostly by email due to the time difference with California but they were super responsive and very thorough.
We worked with them to pick hotels as we'd go online to find some we liked and make suggestions within our budget and they were happy to accomodate. The hotels they suggested were good and we really liked the old mansions the best as it felt like old India to us (we did a mix of old and new).
Their guides are amazing- super informative, good English and kind- you just knew they wanted to you learn about their culture and enjoy their country. They will take you to some commission stores, but will be completely up front about it and you can easily just say- "Pass, not interested". We actually went to 4-5 and really loved them since you see how the products are made and we only purchased at 2 of them and there was no pressure at all. You get far more pressure walking around the bazaars as a tourist... at the commission stores, it's quiet and they sometimes will serve you tea and you can learn about the craft and how items are made, how to tell good quality versus poor and while you know they hope you'll buy, there is no pressure at all. They are gracious no matter the outcome.
Trinetra made all the difference for us - we had a trip of a lifetime and everyone we met through their company was so kind and thoughtful. We fell in love with India and the Indian people.

We would like to travel to Shimla from New Delhi in Jan 2018 by train/toy train,with first class tickets transfer from hotels to train station and collection.Would really appreciate any information.

I am 60 yr old single female. I like to tour with solo travellers around 10+ People with a guide. January/Feb

We, Hubby and I, just did our second extended tour that we personally created together with Trinetra Tours. The first, about 8 years ago, was absolutely amazing, visiting the Golden Triangle by private car and driver, just the two of us, within personal guide in each city. This most recent one was following the Ganges, starting in Rishikesh and Haridwar, to Allahabad where we boarded a small private boat, just the two of us and traveled down the Ganges, camping out on its shores, for five days, finally ending up in Kolkata. So wonderful. Loved every bit. And the guides and greeters in each city, the boat staff, so kind, thoughtful, well informed. We learned so much, ate such great food, slept in wonderful boutique hotels (my request). Even camping was wonderful.

My husband and I are planning to book a tour to the Golden Triangle and possibly, Daramshala in one month. It looks like all of the tours are private but we are not sure exactly what this means: do people on tours get grouped together for the day when sightseeing the same site? Because we are interested in sharing the experience of daily tours with other people while also having some flexibility and private time. Does anyone know of a tour company that allows for this?
