Coming from an avid spearo living in Florida, this is a must if you are looking to spearfish in Bocas. Sean will take you to places that are untouched by locals, and has a vast knowledge of diving in the area. He put us right on a spot where we were able to spear a huge dog snapper. We did not go fishing on the charter, but it was apparent that Sean had extensive knowledge on fishing in the area. In addition to the spearing and fishing, do not overlook using Sean for taking you to his adventure spots. His pricing is cheap if you are in town for only a short amount of time. You will spend a lot of money on water taxis/ other locals to take you to places that are not nearly as cool, and won't be even close to the same experience. Could not recommend this enough.

Our group of ten spent two days on the water with Sean on the Hungy Bungy and everyone absolutely loved it. He's extremely knowledgeable of the area, super responsive to any requests, and genuinely cares about providing an outstanding experience. This should definitely be on your list of things to do on your visit to Bocas.

My fiancé and I chartered Hungy Bungy with two friends who are local to Bocas. Captain Sean and his crew Connor are passionate fishermen with experience and technique that is dialed in to the regional fishing grounds. Sean is a fisherman's and fisherwoman's fisherman. He is happy to teach and is meticulous with his technique and management of a 12-14 rod spread. Our day started with an outstanding snorkel in a calm reef with excellent structure, this was followed by an island exploration to a waterfall and rope-swing. We headed offshore in the afternoon for the evening bite which was varied and productive. Large Barracuda, Kingfish, Cero Mackerel, Bonito and Black Tuna were landed in a variety of sizes. We were struck by larger pelagics without a hookup and had an overall outstanding day on the water. Hungy Bungy is large, fast and stable. We are already planning a return this fall with a plan for four days of charter, two on the panga and two on Hungy Bungy. Best value in chartered spportfishing anywhere I have found.

We had a great day on the water with Sean and his crew. They picked us up in Bocas town at 0530, and shortly after leaving the harbor, he pushed the throttles of his big twin Suzukis forward and we sped out to fish at the edge of a deep canyon and were trolling 6 or more lines an hour later. In less than 20 minutes we had our first of 3 big Wahoo on the line, and in the 20+ minutes it took to land it, we had 6 Blackfin Tuna hooked - all at the same time! We had a second bite a couple hours later, when again a big Wahoo hit first, immediately followed by 4 big Blackfins. We hooked a 3rd Wahoo that our angler fought for >30 minutes, and fought it to less than a boat length away from landing, when the line broke. Bummer. Sean estimated it was well over 100 pounds. But now it’s just a fish tale. We took it slower going back in to conserve fuel and save $$$. But we nevertheless took time out to snorkel twice. The first place was “meh,” but the second had plenty of underwater structure, and so plenty of fish to see. We were an international group, and some of our European anglers had never been fishing before. They were blown away by the whole experience. Sean is a serious angler and a great captain. He clearly loves his work and he seems to enjoy making his clients happy. He was as flexible as we needed him to be to balance time on the water, speed and distance traveled to find fish, and cost of fuel. He will be my go to guy when I’m in Bocas del Toro again.

Sean took my boyfriend and I out on a full days fishing on the smaller C-baby boat yesterday and we had an EXCELLENT day! Initially over email he asked us what we were looking for from the day and to prioritise in order, so he can plan the best day for us. How great to have it tailor made. We prioritised fishing obviously, that we ideally needed something to catch to eat the next couple of days as our budget was tight, but that we would love a varied experience. He was so knowledgeable, took us to some spots where he thought at least we would have dinner to take home, and then to some big spots. However .. it all exceeded expectations and we were super lucky to catch lots of big fighting Jack fish and a couple of smaller tuna. Plus we did down sightseeing and he was GREAT company! Amazing day and I cannot recommend Sean enough. Thanks Sean. :)
