I learned during the tour that Bocas del Toro has one of the most colorful histories in Central America. I had no idea that this small island was the site of the first wireless telegraph in Central and South America built in 1904 and used by the United Fruit Company. The trip up the ancient Snyder Canal was like a journey into Jarassic park-very primitive. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in something totally different than the other local tours.

If you like history, love nature and want to learn something, this is a must do tour. Not only is Richard very knowlegable and pleasant, he also takes you to some hidden treasures in Bocas. This is not a beach, dolphin, snorkel tour. It´s a trip to the past. You will be asthonished to hear about the "Grandeur" of Bocas in the banana days. Highly recommended.
