Adventure in the djungle!
Feb 2020 • Couples
Narcisco picked us up at our Air BnB at Dolphin Bay. We enjoyed the boats trip to the other side of Isla Cristobal. Our horses were ready with comfortable western saddles.
The horses looked a little tired and not as clean as the horses in a riding stable in Germany of course. When we started to ride I was happy to see how well they were trained. I do have a horse on my own, so I can tell they were reacting very good to all signals. They were quite fit and made it with us through the deepest jungle up to an amazing view point. I have never been more close to nature on any other trip. We felt quite adventurous. I recommend a tour with Narcisco also for non experienced riders since the horses are very calm and save. Thanks for this great tour even on very short notice. :)

Great tour with a wonderful guide Narcisco!
Jan 2019 • Couples
We did the full day tour that started with a boat ride to the island. The horses were waiting for us when we arrived at the dock. We rode through the jungle up to a lookout point of the islands. We descended back town to the Ngobe village. Narcisco our guide, pointed out a sloth, toucans and brought out his binoculars to show us monkeys in trees. The village is very interesting and the people are lovely. We had a lunch of rice and chicken. Children were working hard, cutting down bananas and carrying them back to the village. On our boat ride back, Narcisco took us to a cool floating bar with a wrecked boat. David the owner responded timely to our emails. Take this tour, you will appreciate what you have and learn how other people live in this world. For the full day tour through the jungle, wear pants, shoes and sleeved shirt.

Beautiful Way to See Isla Cristobal
May 2017 • Family
I took my 13-year-old daughter and her friend trail riding as a birthday gift. The guide was very good (knowing some Spanish helps). We did a half-day tour and the trail took us to the top of the island for a panoramic view, through sugar cane fields, past the indigenous village, under a cacao grove, and through rainforest/jungle. We even saw a toucan in flight! It was a wonderful a wonderful way to see the area.

A must do!
Mar 2018 • Friends
Panama horseback adventures is an amazing and well organised experience that is an absolute must do. I was visiting Bocas Del Toro and arranged to go horse riding with a girl I met on the island, we both had a glorious time and were given kind natured, suitable, surefooted horses for our riding abilities. A great experience including a tour through a friendly indigenous village in Isla San Cristóbal and fabulous local cuisine.
Welcome to the jungle!

Adventurous Day!
Feb 2018 • Couples
We did the full day tour, which we highly recommend. Narciso picked us up in Bocas Town and boated us over to Isla San Cristóbal where the tour takes place. Narciso doesn’t speak much English, and our Spanish is not good, but he was great and we were able to communicate for the most part.

He then gets you set up with a horse and the jungle trek begins. We stopped in a Ngobe village on the island for a tour and lunch. The people there were very friendly and food was amazing!

This tour is truly a unique experience. If you have the chance to take part in it, you should definitely do it!

An incredible horseback adventure combined with a private tour of a Ngobe Village
Oct 2017
We had a great day! We were picked up in Bocas by Narcisco who is a Ngobe and he drove us across the beautiful water to San Cristóbal Island (if you like boats the drive to the island is worth the price of admission)! The horses were tacked up and ready to go and we began our adventure wending our way through the beautiful jungle-- past banana, plantain and cacao trees. We steadily climbed until we reached a vista that laid the breathtaking beauty of many islands at our feet. Narcisco helped us to identify neighbouring islands (Isla Bastimentos, etc.).
When we arrived in his village, Narcisco proudly showed us around--the new kindergarten room, the dock, the houses and we saw cacao beans being dried. We were served a beautiful lunch at the village restaurant which consisted of rice and beans and fish in a tasty sauce. For dessert, the women had made a chocolate cake to celebrate my companion's birthday! I am sure it will be the only time in my life where I will eat a chocolate cake made with locally prepared cacao beans.
After lunch, we mounted our horses and enjoyed a leisurely pace back to the dock.
A wonderfully special and delightfully memorable day!

Wow. What a great adventure. Dave was a great communicator through the whole process. He got it all set up, we were picked up at the dock and taken to the island. The tour guide was great and took us to some amazing spots with awesome views. I would highly recommend this if you want to see great wildlife and great views

I wanted to book an excursion with Dave. We were rained out. A few days later he emailed me in the evening that we could go the next day. I replied 1.5 hours later saying we'd like to go but we were unsure of whether to go for a full or a half day. He didn't reply. We went to meet him at the dock as agreed. He wasn't there! I called and emailed - no answer. I emailed him to ask him what had happened and he had the nerve to suggest that it was my fault because I'd asked a question! Unbelievable!

Wow you are unbelievable! After 22 emails trying to help you, making special efforts to try to get your 3 kids two of which were under 10, making suggestions for things to do on rain days, and answering questions about other tour providers you are leaving us a bad review. May I remind you again that your kids did not meet the minimum age requirments. That I have spent several hours responding to you trying to be helpful. I emailed you back regularly. You emailed and said you would like to go the following day. I responded within 2 hours asking WHICH tour would you like to do??? I did not receive a response until 9 minutes before the tour. I repeatedly told you we NEED a confirmation of a reservation the DAY before because I am currently working as a builder and the tour is being operated by Narciso and the other indiginous people of the village. This tour mostly benefits these poor people by giving them jobs and tourism. Wow just wow. Way to go! Its really too bad their is no forum to review tourist like you so in all your future travels everyone can see what your track record is. Like the fact that you stood up your sail boat tour after they spent time and money getting ready for you. UN-BE-LIEVABLE

Great for beginners!
Jun 2017 • Couples
We loved this tour. The first day we were "rained out" and had to reschedule, but David, the owner, was communicative throughout the planning and rescheduling. On our second attempt, we got sun and managed to go on the tour. Our guide, Narciso, picked us up from Bocas Town in the morning by water taxi and took us to another island about 10 minutes away. From there, it was a short walk to the stable and we started the tour. The horses were gentle and easy to ride -- it was our first time horseback riding but we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. The jungle was beautiful and halfway through we reached the top of the island and had a gorgeous view of the surrounding islands. Narciso was attentive and friendly and shared many interesting stories and details throughout the tour. He only spoke Spanish, and our Spanish is limited, but we managed just fine and had a great time. Partway through the tour, we visited an indigenous village and had lunch before circling back. We passed by sloths, birds, and cacao trees. At the end of the tour (about 5 hours later), he dropped us off back at our hotel in Bocas town. Wonderful way to spend the day.
