We really enjoyed getting to see the dolphins in Dolphin Bay in Bocas. We had chartered our own boat through Sportfishing Bocas del Toro and Capt Scott was able to get us away from all of the larger tour boats that come in surround the dolphins. We were also able to stay longer and see the dolphins after all the... More

We went out on a boat tour on January 10, 2016 and it included floating around for a while in Dolphin Bay. We saw lots of dolphins - some by themselves, some in small groups, and all fairly close to our boat. There were a couple of other boats in the area, but it didn't bother us at all -... More

We went on a boat cruise and saw many dolphins in the bay. However, it is not very prestine or secluded as there are a lot of boats going into the area.

Interesting place to visit; is the key tour in Bocas, The bay has a lot of jellyfish that is the main reason dolphins are there. You need to be patient and be aware that you will see dolphin in wildlife, so your probabilities to see dolphins depends on many factors. Many ships in tha bay by moments looks disturbing for... My family of 4 went to Dolphin Bay as part of a day tour while staying on Isla Colon. We saw a number of dolphins cavorting in the water from a distance, and it was very peaceful and a bit novel to see so many dolphins in one place. However, my teenage boys were not particularly interested in the dolphins... More

The popularity of this town and it's sights has exploded. I took a boat tour out there and sadly there were only 2 dolphins, maybe one. There are too many boats and they just stalk the poor things. You may want to find something else to do.

You will see Dolphins. Try and combine it with Islas Zappatillas(twosmall unspoilt islands with beautiful beaches Hawkesbill turtle nesting sanctuary) and Coral Cay (beautiful shallow snorkelling) there are a few jellyfish but they are easy to swim around. Forget Red frog . Extra $5 to enter. Nice surfing beach. Time is better spent at Isla Zappatila. Try and get Raoul... More
