Finca Los Monos (the Monkey Farm) is situated on Isla Colon, the largest island in the enchanting archipelago of Bocas del Toro, , Panama. The islands enjoy a steady temperature of between 80 and 93 degrees (27 C – 33 C) all year round, with adequate rainfall to keep them lush and humid. Over the years we have created a magnificent garden with large collections of heleconias, gingers, palms, flowering trees, fruit trees, spices and ornamentals. New plants are constantly being added to the property.

This place is stunning. Even though it's only open a few days a week, Lin kindly opened up on a day it was supposed to be closed. Unfortunately we didn't see too many animals, but the plants and Lin's knowledge & passion were amazing It's only a couple of km away from town, so only a short walk.

Linda is an amazing woman and the tour of her property is a must see. Beautiful rainforest plants have been thoughtfully planted so that you see a huge variety in a relatively small area of 20+ acres. The monkeys, birds, brightly colored frogs, caiman, and butterflies were also worth the trip. She ended the tour with ice cold coconut water... More

My sisters from the states visited me and we went to the Botanical Gardens. Linda, as always, was wonderful. She is such an expert in all of her plants, animals and everything in her gardens. Thanks Linda, my sisters went back to the states with such a wonderful experience of Panama and especially your gardens.

While laying in a hostel hammock over the water in Bastimentos, we were trying to find something to fill in our day over on Isla Colon. My boyfriend found Finca Los Monos, and knowing what a jungle plant GEEK I am, knew it would be a winner! We emailed Lin who was very quick to reply and arrange a day... More

We recently stayed in the center of Boca. For a couple of dollars we asked a taxi driver at the park square to drive us to the Garden and easily flagged an empty taxi to get back after the tour. We wore good walking shoes. Lin, the host and visionary of the land, was a most interesting woman in her... More
