I have been to different places for snorkelling in Asia. Green Island is definitely one of the best places that you can see so many beautiful marine lives. Stay one night there at least. Experience the sea... Don't miss it!

After a fun hour of Ferry trip you arrive to this Paradise. YOU MUST RENT A SCOOTER, and it is difficult without a Taiwanese license. However there is a lady that rented me one without even checking my license. Beaches are superb, views to die for. A MUST.

We spent two nights here. Cycled the top end and saw all the sights. Quick swim in the area out the front of Swallow Cave. Very busy on the weekends and more expensive than the mainland. Best to come here through the week. No atm to service our international card so take enough cash. 7 Eleven serviced our needs

The island is very small. We hired a scooter and could circumvent it in about 40 minutes. The outdoor hot springs are most enjoyable. Soak it up while listening to the waves crash and watching the stars in the pacific sky. The human rights museum is a must for history buffs. Unfortunately there isn't much English material but hopefully that... More

That place is beautiful, especially during sunset! The mango ice there is unmatchable as well! A must visit! Spend at least 2 days there. Regretted having only spent 1 day there. The next time I return, I would visit the prison museums.

Stopped by this island a while back. The ferry leaves from 富岡漁港 Fugang Harbor and takes about 50mins each way. You can take your own scooter for $300nt each way. The island is smaller than Orchid Island but is more developed. There are some dive shops where you can book some dives and stay in their shop. There's also a... More

We stayed at the Shabondi resort, a stone's throw from the airport. This is a delightful B&B run by a family of 6 (including 4 children). Many actitivies which you can do over a day or two. Food was good too! Highly recommended for those who love Taiwan and its people and a slice of history (political prisoners were held... More

I went here in February of 2014 (not 2016) with a couple guys I taught English with while living in Taiwan. First word of warning is the ferry ride you have to take there. I get motion sickness ridiculously easy, so getting there was a little rough. It was worth it though, as the scenery on the island was gorgeous!... More

The timing for the ferry to and fro the island are very limited. We took the earliest ride at 9:30 am and as we did not book any accomodation, the latest ride back to the main island was at 2:30pm. It would be better to book an accommodation for a night. The plan we were told to consider the next... More
