Get a scooter right away off the dock. Don't mess around, just get one and get going for $600nt or less. Travel around the island and look at the beautiful views. We didn't do the salt water hot spring bc of time, but we stopped for a look. If we go back, well definitely go there. Naturally, it does look... More

The Island is beautiful and you can get around really fast by scooter. We had planned on going walking there but ended up with rent-free bikes from the tourist office. Hats off to the employees that were incredibly friendly, helpful and even selected and printed a list of all the delicacies we should eat and the address where we could... More

Green Island(Lyudao) - 33km from the Coast of Taitung, takes 50+mins by cantemaren our took over 65mins as we braced for rough sea the entire journey, over half the passengers were sick, surprisingly no horrible smell, thanks to motion sickness bags were everywhere!! There are very few sailings off season in November - our left at 9.30 I think and... More

The only place to get scooters if you don't have a Taiwan drivers license is at the dock on your right. Literally. And you will want one- it's the best way to see the island. I didn't see anyone renting bicycles. I went all over the island and had to walk back to the dock- don't make my mistake. Get... More

Cannot imagine how come a tiny island outside of Taiwan will have such great underwater scenes! Over 90% living coral covered and crystal visibility which allow you see through over 30 meters away even you are 20 meters under the surface! Meanwhile, diving boat crews here are friendly and well-experienced who can protect you from any dangerous situation, such as... More

Get off the ferry and get a scooter and then tour the island. Not much there outside the natural beauty and the diving, but well worth the effort. Plan an escape, high winds often ground the flights and cancels the ferry so keep that in mind when you go.

The trip to here is considerably short with around 1h boat drive. If you get sea sick easily prepare some medicine or plastic bags because the ride is comparable to a roller coaster 😁 The island has a lot to offer. We went to different viewing spots and scuba diving! You can find crazy shaped cliffs, sea water hotspring and... More

Stayed in the dorm a couple of nights. Eva speaks English quite well, but is not a good host. I was very sick and she suggested me to walk 30 min. to the village for dinner... I asked her if I could get some plain rice from their own dinner, against payment. She told me there was nothing left. Though... More

Decided to visit the island as part of a tour of Taiwan as it has been called an undiscovered gem . I would agree that it was a beautiful island. However we did exhaust all entertainment within two days. there are no nice beaches. The two towns are quite run down, the locals not particularly friendly and the food is... More
