Hiked a steep set if stairs to the summit. The scenery was great all around you. You walk past an old dilapidated ski lift on your way up. A great view from the top... but it was a little intense due to the lack of air for someone who lives around sea level. Even if you're not an athlete you... More

Spend a few hours of your day coming here, highly worthwhile. You can visit Cingjing in the morning on your drive up, and hike Hehuanshan in the afternoon. Afternoon has best views and mist, for spectacular photos. Finish by 4pm and start driving back.

Got the help from my minsu to make a booking for the sunrise tour. The tour company(oki bus)is very professional. Morning call at 3am. They even called the day before to confirm on my attendance. The tour involved checking out the stars at 5am before dropping us at various spots to check out the sunrise. Winter wear was also made... More

We availed Julie's Hehuanshan Sunrise Tour and didn't regret it! Our tour guide/driver was funny and friendly! We were surprised when he prepared some snacks and water during our trip -- such a thoughtful act. We were not able to prepare for that weather too but thanks to our tour guide, he offered really big jackets to keep us warm.... More

Need to use a local tour guide as they know the exact timing and location to take you for the sunrise.

Booked a cab that took us on a tour to Hehuan Mountain. I must say it is a MUST view place as the view is spectacular. The air is fresh and since it is the highest point in Taiwan (above 3,000metres), it is relatively windy as well. If you are lucky, you may see a sea of clouds as well.

Highlight of the trip. Recommended to go here to see the sun rise with a local tour group when you are in Cing Jing area. Only TWD 400/pax. Depart daily from your minsu at around 3.30am.

We went there and it was a beautiful area. The hike is great but on the day we went it was very foggy and rainy. I would like to do this again in the future.
