The view up there was nothing similar to any other mountains, you should see for yourself. It was unique and different. The breeze was just perfect during winter. Sometimes, it does snow during winter time. I did some hiking to keep my body warm, my friends ate icecream instead to keep warm (that's what they said). Many Taiwan bikers will... More

After visiting WuLin, the driver continued the journey to HeHuanShan. Winter at this place means it is very cold, the day we went it was 7-9 deg C only, even lower if there's wind. First-time experience in such low temperature. Everyone should come and experience it~

Do not miss this ever! Woke up as early as 3am to travel upwards to the peak to see the sunrise. It was worth every minute of sleep I missed out, worth braving the cold strong wind and worth suffering nose ache from the immense cold up there. The mountains range was majestic and the sunrise was beautiful!

There are some amazing walks around this area. Spectacular views, really incredible. You'll have to be careful though, as there isn't much air and it's hard to walk .

Drove through west east highway in the cloud and the sun came out as we were at the top of hehuanshan, amazing experience.

The drive from Cingjing to Hehuanshan was spectacular with mountains all around. It will be a waste if we don't hike in Hehuangshan. We hike up without any difficulty to this famous Main Peak. It was easy climb.

Sign up on Jan for sunrise package at around 4am(400TWD/pax). It was a long way up but there are several stops for you to take pictures. The road up to mountain is dark with no street lights and very dangerous. But all is worth when you get to see the sun rise and all the awesome view. summary of the... More

Don't bother with the 4am trip to see sunrise. Its a tourist gimmick guaranteed to freeze your unmentionables off. You would also most likely see more mists than sun. Makes much more sense to take a leisurely drive up after 8am where you see more spectacular scenery. The sea of cloud left me in awe. Beautiful, bwautiful place.

We booked Song Syue Lodge at Hehuanshan hoping to catch the sunrise (which we did not get to see as it rained the next morning). Instead, we were rewarded with a spectacular sunset from the East Peak hike (which was right behind our lodge) on the day we checked in. East Peak trail is comprised of mostly boarded steps. However... More

It was a Long ride up to the mountain from Cing Jing, but our driver Charlce Du (+886 972 383 138) drove us up safely. It was cold, but regretfully it did not snow the day we went. A tip will be to prepare heat packs as it will be cold at Wuling, the mountain top
