I cannot emphasize enough what an excellent decision it was to choose Jagath as our driver. I usually plan my vacations myself and we picked Jagath because one of his itineraries looked very similar to what I had in mind, covering so many different places in two weeks. As soon as we matched he sent me all his details and he is a certified tourist guide of Sri Lanka which proved really helpful on our trip. I shared my initial travel plan with him and he helped to suggest some changes that better accounted for the time it takes at each site, as well as suggesting amazing other things that we could fit into the itinerary. I did not even have to pull up my guidebooks or notes at historical sights as we was thoroughly knowledgeable on every place we visited and was able to select the best specific places to visit in huge sights like Anuradhapura which we otherwise would have missed. He was able to recommend the best other tours, like the National Spice Garden that is run by the government over private ones that take commission, and made the Botanical Gardens much more enjoyable with his extensive knowledge of plants and wildlife. By following his suggestions, we are able to see hundreds of elephants up close on safari at a lower price than most recommended tours, while still following guidelines for animal welfare. When I mentioned wanting to see traditional Kandyan dance, he got us front row seats to a performance. He quickly noticed that I am much more into history than my friends, and suggested white water rafting for them which they absolutely loved. At no point did he ever take us to some commission-based shop and we always felt like communication was easy and clear, and that our desires for our trip were completely heard. Still, he managed to make our trip even better than we thought possible. After our time with him, he kept in touch and answered all of our questions, big and small, and it was so helpful to feel like we have a local friend to guide us. Overall, we were actually able to have more fantastic experiences than we planned for less money than we originally budgeted. I absolutely recommend hiring. His prices are beyond reasonable and his services consistently go above and beyond expectations.

We experienced a sightseeing tour of Sri Lanka at the turn of February and March 2020. We were very pleasantly surprised, this trip exceeded our expectations in terms of experiences, organization, food and accommodation. The greatest credit for our experience goes to our guide Chaminda Jagath Wijesiri, who took very active care of us all the time, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, was able to explain everything to us clearly, guided us through the sights beautifully and was also funny and very nice. Jagath speaks very good English and has a history degree, so he can answer a lot of questions about history, politics, but also religion and lifestyle in Sri Lanka. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him very much. We can definitely recommend it with a clear conscience to anyone interested in a guide to Sri Lanka, he is trusted and will arrange everything that is needed. He is simply a man in his place.

With Jagath, you don’t just get a driver, you get a tour guide, and information about the country and the culture that you won’t get anywhere else. Jagath went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great vacation. He was very punctual, trust worthy, and and always ensured that we were prepared for what we were doing next. He made suggestions for our itinerary based on what he noticed we liked to do, and always ensured that we were secure at night before leaving our accommodation. He helped us on multiple occasions find new accommodations after our hotels overbooked and left us hanging. With Jagath we saw 5 leopards, a bear, and a tusker all in one day! He is the best tour guide we’ve had! You can trust your Sri Lanka trip will exceed your expectations if you book with Jagath.

We were a group of 8 people who had an opportunity and pleasure to use Jagath guiding services.
Although we were more interested in birds and nature, Jaghat’s stories and extensive knowledge of historical, Buddhist, and cultural sites could not be left indifferent. Our 9 days trip fully packet with various historical, cultural and nature sites wouldn't be so successful without Jagath. He was such a caring person about all different needs during all the trip, but, at the same time, managed to become unnoticeable when we concentrated on birds or other observations of wildlife. We felt so safe and comfortable in his van, his calm driving was completely different from the rest of the hectic driving on the roads and let us enjoy the view of the country not feeling stressed about the dramas on the road.
Personally, I avoid guided tours and endeavor to travel on my own, but if I decide to come back to Sri Lanka, I will turn to Jagath again to have a safe and free logistic stress trip in such a good and friendly company.

Outstanding guide and driver! Two for the price of one.
Despite the ongoing economic crisis during this month, Jagath navigated us across the country in great comfort and safety.
We started our tour in Sigirya where he gave us a highly informative tour of the Rock and it's history then on to an Elephant safari. This was followed by a day long trip to Pollonaruwa where we saw great historical sites. From Sigirya we went on to Kandy and the Tea plantations finishing our tour down on the southern coast.
The current worrying situation in Sri Lanka, fuel shortages as well as sky rocketing fuel prices etc., demonstrations blocking roads, is extremely concerning, but throughout our trip Jagath was steady and reassuring - he would arrive punctually every day with a smile!
We highly recommend Jagath! Best wishes to him and his family and to the people of Sri Lanka.

We are a family of four. Mr. Jagath was recommended by an acquaintance who had traveled with him before, and it was great recommendation indeed. The communication before the trip was done via WhatsApp and emails. We had given the general outline of our interests, and Mr. Jagath came back with a suggested itinerary to action. Mr. Jagath came to pick us up as planed in a very clean, modern and comfortable Toyota van. We traveled together for nine days, Mr. Jagath is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Sri Lanka and you can see that he loves his home country very much. All the planned itinerary was followed flawlessly. Mr. Jagath also has a good sense of humor, so we had a great time. An example for his dedication is his suggestion to visit Sigiriya at sunrise (before the crowds) and joining us walking up over 1000 steps to the sight while explaining the history of the place in detail. To summarize, Mr. Jagath is an exceptionally good guide for Sri Lanka, his driving is safe and comfortable, the van is new and well maintained, he is punctual (always there at the pickup spot five minutes ahead of time), he delivers on what he promises and is also a fun companion. So, if you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka, you can't go wrong with Mr. Jagath.

I had taken 15 days vacation with my family in Srilanka along with Jagath Tours and can say it was truly delightful experience for me and my family. We visited Colombo, Dambulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Yalla National park and Bentota. We undertook Safaris, White water rafting, hiking experience and many more activites which Jagath Tours arranged at a discounted price. The driver and Tour guide, Jaye, was thoroughly professional and very knowledgeable and punctual even when we had early starts @ 4.30 AM in morning for safari. He provided very useful tips and recommendations for Srilankan food and restaurants which we very much enjoyed. He also took stop in Ella which was not part of our tour plan, where we had a sumptuous Lunch in Famous restaurant "Chill" and then took hiking to Famous Nine Arch bridge for a memorable experience. I would recommend Jagath Tours to my friends and relatives when they are planning to visit Srilanka for hassle free wonderful experience

We spent a week with Jagath traversing Sri Lanka from the cultural north through the hill country to yala and back to Colombo. He is a greater driver and as a history graduate also a guide for understanding the history of Sri Lanka and touring archeological sites. Our trip went like a clockwork, he respected our privacy, engaged moderately and in balance as relevant and was prompt to meet at the times we discussed at the end of prior day.

Jagath is an exceptional driver and guide and we recommend him 100%. From the minute we booked with him we had great communication through phone calls and WhatsApp. Jagath is highly experienced, calm, safe, knowledgeable and friendly. He accommodated our families wishes, made a few suggestions to improve our itinerary, and always had ideas of what additional things to do along the way. We initially had reservations about booking a driver, but soon realised Jagath was far more than a driver, he was the complete travel and holiday guide. It meant we saw so much more of the country, learned about its history, culture and people. We were able to engage and meet with people so much easier, and it meant the travel was so relaxing. Nothing was ever too much trouble. As a family we were delighted to have him as our sixth member for our holiday and really missed him when we got back to the UK! I cannot rate Jagath highly enough. Book with confidence!

Jagath was recommended by a coworker who has been to Sri Lanka many times and had utilized his services on multiple occasions. Although Jagath was not able to be our driver/guide he made an itinerary tailored to our needs. We were assigned Jaye. He went above and beyond to make our trip amazing. He was very detailed oriented and very knowledgeable. He made me fall in love with Sri Lanka and it’s people, it was an unforgettable experience. I recommend Jaye as a driver/ guide.
