I was recommended to George and his team of drivers by a friend.
We used his service twice with a one way trip from Colombo to Demodara with 3 passengers then a return minivan service for 10 passengers Colombo/Madulkelle back to Colombo.
George and his staff are competent and friendly and on our trip to Demodara George stopped at a roadside restaurant which was clean and provided tasty and very reasonably priced Sri Lankan food. We had a flat tyre on the way which George repaired and we were on the road again quickly.
With the trip to Madulkelle I would recommend that you take the train to Kandy and George and his team can pick you up from the railway station.
I will definitely use this service again.

I was referred by my hotel to call George for my Colombo airport pick up. The drive to the hotel outside of Kandy was a little under four hours and he stopped along the way to help me find my unique requests of batik and a painted elephant. The end of the drive was a bit rocky as he was taking me to a location that was in a village with a road that was damaged due to the rain. The whole time he was extremely professional and calm as he dealt with this potentially dangerous road.
As a single woman tourist, safety is the upmost concern, especially in a new country, and I felt safe with George. He had a go-to place to stop for snacks and a restroom break. I had a snack and drink, and it was clean.
Later while at my hotel, George came back to give me a day tour of Kandy, and he was very knowledgeable. He was willing to go off the beaten path to find a shop for me that I researched via Trip Advisor. He has his go-to establishments, as most drivers do, but I appreciated that he didn't push me to stop by them when I was short on time and we worked out an agenda that made sense based on locations and when I had to return to the hotel.
I would definitely utilize George for future travel needs in the Kandy region and within Sri Lanka.

I would definitely recommend Michelle Tours to anyone, we had such a good time on our holiday in Sri Lanka with George! He was a fantastic driver and tour guide, and most importantly made us feel very safe throughout our trip. He knew many of the locals at all of the places that we stopped, so always made sure we had the best local guide at every attraction. He also made recommendations for slight changes to the schedule to accommodate daily weather conditions which was very thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Michelle Tours was able to customise the trip as per our wishes to ensure that we got the most out of our fairly limited time in Sri Lanka. George is very friendly, easy to chat with and knowledgeable. He was always punctual, very easy to liaise with, and well prepared for the trip – overall an excellent guide! George was recommended to us from friends of ours at the Australian High Commission and we feel fortunate that we were put in touch with such a reliable, accommodating and enjoyable to our service. We have recommended George and Michelle Tours to many of our family and friends, with several of them having already booked trips with George throughout this year. Thank you to George and Michelle Tours for a wonderful and memorable experience!

Just returned from a 20 day guided tour of the East and Central regions and the less visited North. We had previously spent 17 days in the Central and south west of the island 5 years ago. We had come up with a basic plan which was refined by George and his team. Shan, our guide , was great company , and more importantly kept us safe on the approximately 1400kms of our road trip. He was very knowledgeable about the cultural elements of our visit and of the local restaurants. Frequently we appeared to be the only non locals eating which reassured us we were enjoying authentic cuisine. Our accommodation was always of a high standard and ranged from large beachside hotels, a yurt at Dolphin Beach, Kalpitiya, Palmyrah House in Mannar, the Fox Resort at Jaffna ( which has beautiful tranquil gardens in contrast to the busy city) to the Palm Stone Retreat in the rainforest at Kitulgala. The named properties are all unique and highly recommended.
The itinerary allowed us to see so much in a country with such a rich history but also to enjoy lazy days on the beach.

I would like to thank George for the amazing memorable experience he assisted me to have in Sri lanka , Simply he showed me the beauty of the country
I was solo female traveler and I was safe totally with his accompany moving around from city to another, and never feel lonely cause we had a long conversation about many topics.
He has a plan to suit every taste, so for example I was tired to do safari after Sigirya Rock hiking and he offered me to experience the Culture of an authentic local Sri Lankan village instead of the Safari which was a really fantastic and relaxing experience.
It was really fantastic natural few days’ vacation, with George and his brother Ravi I experience Kandy,Sigirya and Nuwara Eliya
So this is was my program and of course, this is can be adjusted to suit each person’s taste
Kandy
Spice Garden: where u can see all the spices and buy some spices and organic creams and oils
Botanical Garden: where you can see amazing beautiful plants coming from different countries
Millennium Elephant Foundation: where you can have the elephant ride, feed the elephant, and learn about the difference between the African and Asian elephant.
U can go to the Painnawala orphanage but I skipped it because the elephant riding experience was enough for me
The Gem Museum: where you can see a documentary about the Gem in Sri Lanka and you can buy some as well.
The temple of tooth: a different experience to see the Buddhism
Kandy city center and Spa Ceylon Shopping
Sigirya
Sigirya rock hiking
Cultural village tour
That was enough for me , however George can guide you to add more things to do
Nuwara Eliya
Tea factory tour and tea shopping and the breathe taking views of the tea plantation
And George’s Surprise to go much closer to the waterfall at the end of the day
And to end all beautiful experience with very relaxing massage in Kandy (George’s Recommendation)
Oh forgot to mention the warm welcome when he received me from the Kandy train station and the nice invitation for a homemade yogurt from a nearby farm.
Thank you again George for the amazing experience.

I can recommend George and Michelle tours very much. What was supposed to be one ride from the airport to the hills of Kandy became a week long companionship that allowed to discover places in Sri Lanka that I would have not come around even after considerable research. And I would travel with him again!
George is very professional flexible and knowledgeable, very open to your wishes while At the same time coming with fantastic suggestions on the way. Whether you need a best Buddha statue, best jewelry place, nicest hike, or a recommendation for hotels, he has it all in his pocket.
His area of expertise is definitely Kandy and surroundings, but he is touring all around and has good network of support so am sure he is as competent and helpful elsewhere in the country.
I would be comfortable to come to the country without much preparation and fully follow his lead. So, absolutely recommended, hope to be back and travel again.

We have just completed a custom designed 11 night tour of Sri Lanka with George.
The choice of accommodation from Michelle Tours was superb. The side trips , excursions and tour guides that they recommended and used were all interesting and faultless. George was always punctual and maintained a high level of cleanliness with the bus. His knowledge, friendliness and sense of humour really contributed to a fantastic experience that we all felt. The setting up of the custom itinerary and all other arrangements was made without hassle and clearly communicated by Alison in the Michelle Tours office.
I can highly recommend this tour company when you visit this wonderful country.

We spent 5 dours on the road in to the tea hills. Journey was long, but mini van atleast made it comfortable and the driver was helpful and always happy to stop as we wished.

Our first hotel had recommended Michelle tours. All communication with George was clear and helpful. ...although the 'office' kept falling out of the loop - so that clarity was hard to achieve.
Once under way, we were very pleased with what was provided and the attention to detail. ...It wasn't cheap, so it was as well....
Shan, our driver was good, his English was pretty good, and he was very professional, always on time, empathetic, full of knowledge and some opinion, and thoughtful. When we were wandering some ruins and it started to pour, suddenly there was Shan with a couple of umbrellas. When we wanted to eat, he could find the right place, when we needed a guide, he found a good one.
It might be worth mentioning that Michelle Tours dealt with cash - not cards.

Sto organizzando un tour in Agosto 2017, ho già un contatto autista molto ben recensito da una mia amica che ha già viaggiato con lui.
Siamo io e il mio ragazzo, cerchiamo un'altra coppia che voglia dividere le spese del driver perchè per noi risulta eccessivo, sono 800 ¥ totali per un giro di 12 con 5 giorni di stop ad Arugan Bay.
Qualcuno è interessato?
