Nice to walk around the lake once you've visited the Temple of the Tooth, you can buy popcorn and feed the fish. Like to see but nothing special

The town seams to be wound around the lake, its full of fish and water monitors as they are protected, a very pretty feature to walk around.

This is a human made lake which can been seen at the center of the Kandy City. According to the history, it has been constructed by the king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, who ruled at Kandyan Kingdom. He was the last king in Sri Lanka. Before constructing this lake, there was a paddy field in that location.

set out to see this lake with high recommendation. cant say i can still remember it. there is not much lighting along the paths around the lake and in a non touristy time probably not many eateries are open also. it can be a much better attraction, but needs more attention perhaps.

Being a touristy touwn, tuk tuk do approach you rather regularly offering a tour, but they are never a nuisance. There are some shops... More

This is a pleasant enough lake and if you're in Kandy then well worth a stroll especially as you're probably going to be seeing the temple of the tooth but its def not worth going out of your way to find.
