Myself and my girlfriend both work in the food industry and like to do cooking classes everywhere we go in the world. This class is excellently explained by a great group of people. We did 8 veg curries and 1 chicken in the end, it was supposed to be 7 but I had seen they had banana blossom in their veggies and wanted to try the blossom curry, so they added that in as a bonus. The food was excellent and we had a great day with some of the warmest, smiliest people we met in our 2 and a half weeks in Sri Lanka. I would recommend 100% to anyone to do this course. They offer 2 versions, 1 with a market visit or if that doesn't interest you, you can go direct to the farmhouse for the cooking. I really hope the Coronavirus situation improves as soon as possible so you guys can get back to doing what you clearly love doing! Many thanks! Ben and B

We took the lunch cooking class, after we discussed on WhatsApp with Sudesh. He arranged for us the pick up & drop off by tuk tuk. When we have arrived at his place, we were welcomed by his nice family. The cooking class is just amazing, you learn so many things about cooking in general and also specific tips for srilankan cooking The chef is absolutely lovely, helpful and with a lot information to share. He makes cooking look so easy. The food we cooked was the most delicious we eat in Sri Lanka. Also his English is very good. It is just the perfect thing to do if you are in Kandy, I recommend with all my heart this activity. You will not regret.

This is a must do experience if you find yourself in Kandy. Learning about the different vegetables and spices from our culinary guide was an experience in itself, the cooking class was very fun, informative and entertaining. The best part of course is that you get to enjoy the variety of tasty dishes you prepare and believe me you won't leave hungry.

Book this cooking class! We had one day in Kandy and wanted to experience the market, a locals home and learn to cook some amazing traditional Sri Lankan food. This was the perfect opportunity! We were picked up from our hotel by tuk tuk (an experience in itself!) and taken to the market. The chef walked us through and explained all the different vegetables and its uses to us. Asked us what we like and what we don’t so he could cater the meal to our taste. We visited a spice stall and learned about the different spices and teas and bought a few to take home for ourselves and gifts. We then went by tuk tuk through the hills of Kandy to Sudesh’s home. There we met his kids and wife and the chef started to prepare the meal. He taught us along the way and we made 7 different vegetables, egg curry, chicken curry, lentils, papadam and an amazing sauce with fried eggplant and onions and curry leaves. We then enjoyed the delicious meal with a local beer and topped the meal off with a yummy pancake filled with caramelized coconut. Sudesh and his family are lovely and welcoming. It was an amazing experience and one I highly recommend to anyone visiting Kandy!
