I saw many of the locals enjoying a nice dip. I heard that this has a lot to do with ancient hindu mythology. it was quite slippery so please do be careful. Water was very cold and perfect for a cold dip during the hot Jaffna weather

It was a fabulous experience to have a hot water bath at Keerimalai Hot Springs. There after we jumped in to keeramalai beach too. Wash room for fresh water baths available on site with excellent toilets and changing rooms.

A swim in the sacred pond having healing powers... I was lucky to be one of the people who have been here, more so ever I had gone there on a weekday so there weren't many people, I really enjoyed swimming in the pond, the water too was slightly warm and felt very pure and fresh, I came out only after 1 hour, that too because I would have missed the bus back to Jaffna!!

Separate baths for males and females. The males can't even see the female swimmers. Hmm. But lovely nonetheless. Parking not convenient.

These pools close to the Hindu temple, have quite a holiday feel to them as the butt up against the beach, with a pilgrims hostel and facilities close by. There are often busloads of people getting out to go to the temple and many take a stroll down to the beach too, and the men's pool is obviously very popular. Swimwear appears to be long shorts.
The women's pool discreetly tucked away next door had far fewer women and small children in it and most had a full covering of clothes. Do less women know how to swim or feel comfortable in the water?
A distinctly holiday feel and changing facilities are provided at both.

If you feel dirty or too warm then you can go to take a bath. Besides that this is not hot spring, water is around 30 degrees and the place not attractive at all

Nothing special really, but:
- There is no much you can do nearby Jaffna
- A tour to springs is interesting in itself as you explore the peninsula on the way and see how its changing after the civil war
- If coupled with a few places in the area makes an interesting day trip
- Definitely non-touristy - mostly locals there, so that is quite nice, you get an opportunity to have a glimpse of real Sri Lanka

This is a religious place and hot water springs... supposed to be with healing powers for those with belief....so it is not a touristic place

Visited the place on our way to Point Pedro. The entrance to the Women's section did not look too welcoming. In spite of instructions that soap should not be used we saw a little girl happily soaping herself - while her Mum looked on. The spelling on the Notice Board has to be rectified - re "Fealty" words.
