About
The two sisters of the ‘’Foundation of Goodness’’ invite you to join them for an interesting cooking experience at the 'Foundation of Goodness' premises in rural coastal village of Seenigama in Hikkaduwa. You have the opportunity to get involved in preparing lunch with our in-house Chefs and enjoy what you have cooked. A recipe leaflet will be provided for you to try it back home with your loved ones. There is no better way to share your holiday, support a worthy cause and it would be an unforgettable experience during your vacation in Sri Lanka! Rangi & Chami share a great passion for cooking and together, they present to you this one of a kind cooking experience; preparing healthy and nutritious Sri Lankan vegetarian and non-veg meals. PS: Plates of Goodness will be conducted every Tuesday to Saturday except public holidays in Sri Lanka.

It was an interesting moment while interacting with katunguru child support foundation children while at their nursery school, i and my wife Jane we are welcomed by the headteacher of the school Mr Marius , who gave the brief history of the foundation that was life touching

Did an online 2 hour cooking course with Plates of Goodness and loved it. I have cooked the recipes since doing the course and they are delicious and wholesome! Such a treat and a joy!

Amazing experience!!! I recently celebrated my birthday with an ONLINE Cooking class hosted by Plates of Goodness. I invited friends and family from different parts of the world and they absolutely loved it. We laughed, and learned so much, and ended up with several plates of delicious food. The cooking team selected several yummy recipes (both vegan and meat-based), and patiently walked us through each of them, from pineapple curry, to an aubergine salad, chicken curry, coconut pancakes, and more ... it was a flavour explosion. The best part was connecting and having an experience with people I love all over the world, and sharing with them about Sri Lankan food and culture, a country and a people that I've come to love. I felt like this experience brought Sri Lanka to us, and us closer to one another. A massive thank you to Ludmilla and Rumeshi, supported by Ms. Thanuja Wijesinghe, you were excellent. Highly, highly recommended!

This was one of our favourite experiences in Sri Lanka!! Two chefs took us through at least 5 recipes in a fun and relaxed environment. They were so kind, friendly and helpful and we learned a lot while also having lovely conversations with the chefs. My friend and I were given a pool-side candle lit table to enjoy all the food once we were done, and were encouraged to have as many servings as we wanted. We left with a recipe book each, full stomachs and very lifted spirits. We will never forget this experience and recommend everyone books a lesson, especially as it raises funds for Plates of Goodness’s important community projects!

We had a wonderful afternoon at the Plates of Goodness class. It will be a highlight of our visit to Sri Lanka. The food was easy to cook and delicious! We enjoyed learning about all of the good work done in the local communities by the Foundation. We met so many friendly and dedicated people during our visit. We hope to return some time soon!

Totally recommending. The course is organized at and by the Foundation of Goodness charity and the cost goes to support their activities for the local rural communities. We were greeted warmly, the menu was authentic and tasty, the chef explained different spices and methods to us during the class, and after lunch we had a tour around the foundation - very nice experience.
