Six of us booked the yala wildlife tour. What a fantastic day. Our driver and guide were informative and helpful. The tour itself was wonderful, we saw lots of animals and had a thoroughly amazing time. The guys even brought a birthday cake for my niece as it was her birthday, this was such a surprise and very much appreciated

Was an amazing trip with loads packed in, quite a distance driven and overall a prett fair price. Amazing waterfall which felt a bit of a secret and a lovely restaurant nearby too.
Mohan also spent the day without really telling us photographing us which is amazing as we now have some amazing natural action shots of our entire day which we love

Please, please tell your tour guide/driver to NOT stop and feed bananas to wild elephants on the other side of the electric fences. You guys do it to entertain tourists and make money-but the sad thing is that elephants can break through the fences and tourists can get injured. Then the poor animal is shot. Elephants have also broken down fences and gone to villages and hurt humans and property in the search of delicious bananas! Elephants have been shot because of idiots like you guys.
So please use your brain and sense of decency. The registration number of the van with tourists is PI 1353. the tourists and the elephant was endangered due to sheer ignorance. The elephant watched as all the bananas were taken and put in the van at Udawalawe National Park. Sri Lanka

We did a Safari with New Berlin Tours, 6 off us, picked up from hotel and well looked after all day. It was my Daughters Birthday and as a surprise they had bought her a cake and gave it her in the middle of the safari, it was amazing. The tour was well organised and we were out most of the day, it was amazing. Would highly recommend.

I recently booked 3 tours with this company. Whale watching, yala safari and half day river safari. They arrived on time for pick ups, with a very friendly driver, who didn’t hassle you for tips. In a clean air conditioned bus. The trips themselves were great. Especially the river safari, it includes seeing turtles, waterfalls, and several museums. One thing to note ensure you have correct shoes For the waterfall. On the river safari as it doesn’t involve a walk into the jungle and flips flops don’t make the cut! Overall a good company who delivered on what we expected, and was very helpful. Would defiantly recommend them before booking with your tour operator, worthwhile comparing prices. It worked out we could book all 3 of our trips for a similar price of going on one with our tour operator. Based across the road from the hikka tranz hotel.

We were picked up in a minibus and proceeded to drive for an hour to the first stop which was an awful turtle hatchery where people were encouraged to touch the turtles and even pick them up for photos. No sign of any genuine concern for the turtles other than exploiting them. Next stop a herbal garden where they tried to sell us remedies for every ailment. The 'qualified doctor' insulted a slightly overweight person in the group and claimed that paralysis could be cured by rubbing some cream into people's legs for three months. A scam. The river safari was not a safari at all but about trip in the blazing midday sun, without any cover, no lifejackets offered and a stop for a 200 rupees fish massage and an island temple (also expecting a donation). We were told the tour would last until 13:00 so didn't bring any food. Everyone was hot, hungry and thirsty and we were not offered a refreshment or toilet break. Next stop was a mask museum, which was actually reasonably interesting, but by this time I was too hungry and hot to care. The little girl who was on the tour and had been so good for most of the time started screaming, which by this point was what we adults wanted to do. Next stop gem shop, at which point we rebelled and walked off to get a delicious vegetable roti, and a cold drink. The tour guide pulled up outside the final stop - the tsunami museum and asked if anyone wanted to go in. A resounding no demonstrated that like us, everyone on the tour had had enough. We were dropped off at 3:30, after 6 hours, 2.5 hours later than told and without any offer of a stop for refreshments. Don't waste your money on a tour - hire a tuk tuk and choose where you want to go independently. I wouldn't recommend the river safari at all, no animals or birds because it was done in the middle of the day, no information given by the boat driver, and unsafe tour provider (no shade, no lifejackets)

we went some tours with this company during our stay in hikkaduwa and all are really satisfied. good professional team they have and with good guides. we went udawalawa, sigiriya and short half day trip. driver speak good english and he is so helpful. thank you and we will come again.

Question to those traveling with New Berlin Tours before: did you pay the reservation fee to a bank account in China? I got such request for 80% of the tour price and it seems a bit strange to me...
