We love Sri Lanka and this was my 3rd visit to Hikkaduwa. Anytime we needed a tuktuk we contacted Hikkasurf, who were always reliable. Anyone who has experienced a tuktuk knows that a good driver is very important and their drivers certainly are. We went on several trips, including a boat trip, a visit to Galle and then to Unawatuna and a 2 day trip to Kandy and Ella. As there were 8 of us, they provided an 8 seater minibus, driven expertly by Upal, which was very comfortable. They also did the airpost transfers.
Channa, Sanjee and Upal, along with their father Raj, run an excellent business and it is highly recommended and appreciated

We hired a different driver in Sri Lanka and we had a few issues the first days because he got sick and they had to find us a different driver ASAP!! That's when Upul came into the picture and he ended up being the best driver we could have! He speaks English perfectly, explains everything and solves every doubt you can have, he is very flexible and advises you so you can plan your trip the best way possible.
I highly recommend him, great great experience!

We accidentally met this nice guy, and spent 6 days traveling with him. We had an amazing time in Sri Lanka visiting Yala, Ella, Nuvara Eliya, Kandy. The service was delicate, polite, attentive to our needs. I highly recommend Hikkasurf Tours.

We have just had a fantastic 10 days with Upul, and we couldn't be happier. We felt safe at all times, he took very good care of us and we really enjoyed his company. His knowledge of the island is very good and the van that we had was super comfortable and airconditioned. Its a new van and plenty of space for some long travels.
We can't highly recommend him enough. He also has tuktuks and smaller cars available. Great service with a smile and a lot of patience. Thanks from our family :-)

We had a full day tuk tuk tour around hikkaduwa. This tuk tuk was bigger than usual and really comfortable. It was relaxed and full of activities at a very good price. We felt looked after and loved Upul so we booked him for an airport transfer back to colombo as well in the most luxurious van. Highly recommended company.

Hikkasurf are the friendliest, most reliable tour company in Hikkaduwa, possibly even in Sri Lanka! Always on time, always safe and always kind and compassionate. Upul, Channa & Sanjee's knowledge of their beautiful island is second to none and the boys always do their best to help guests as much as possible!!!

Hikkasurf are so knowledgeable about the island and were always on hand to help us organise trips and just day to day tuk tuk rides. Despite the mad roads of Sri Lanka we always felt safe with them.
Sanji greeted us at the airport and despite us having to wait nearly an hour and a half for our bags he was still waiting patiently when we finally got out!
We went on trips to Mirissa, Galle and Udawalawe. Going on safari to Udawalawe is a must if you get chance - Sanji organised us to go to the elephant orphanage at feeding time first before we jumped in a jeep for a safari around the National Park where we saw some amazing wildlife in its natural habitat, definitely the highlight of our holiday and all at a competitive price.
They also took us to some little-known snorkelling spots where we saw some amazing fish and spent a day at a beautiful beach. Also recommended some great bars and restaurants where we enjoyed some wonderful food and cocktails.
We were given a mobile to contact them over our two week stay in Hikkaduwa at The Retreat, which is just outside of the town. They were always quick to collect us from where we were.
We saw a dog who had recently given birth to a litter of puppies and we would drive past her on the way into Hikkaduwa. Channa, Sanji and Raja always stopped to let us feed her and give her water and have even continued to do so after we have gone.
They are such a lovely family who go above and beyond. We can not recommend their services enough and will certainly be using them again when we come back to Hikkaduwa!

We used Hikkasurf tours to collect us from our first accommodation in Bentota to take us to "The Retreat" in Hikkaduwa. The boys from Hikkasurf tours, Sanji, Upul and Channa, also work with their father Raja and we used only their tuk tuk services when we stayed in Hikkaduwa. They made good suggestions to explore the local area. We went to a tsunami commemorative monument and museum, a river boat tour, turtle hatchery and moonstone mine all in one day. We then went to Jungle Beach, the only safe beach on that stretch of coastline that we were able to swim at that time of year, due to the massive waves and undertow. We had a trip to a tea plantation (Herman's) which was about an hour's tuk tuk drive from our accommodation. We loved the tuk tuks as you feel part of the whole experience. We asked to be taken to a shop in a place that wasn't touristy, for some sarongs and we had a fun hour or so looking for them with Upul !!
We had the boys as our guides when we visited Galle Fort and they made a great recommendation for lunch. My son and husband wanted to take some photos on our last day so they hired a tuk tuk and were driven around the local area and took some great pictures. We were lent a mobile phone with a local SIM card by Sanji and used that any time we needed their tuk tuk or mini bus. A great service and friendly, professional guys. Thank you for adding to the enjoyment of our holiday.
