The climb up to these caves is a little strenuous - especially if you do it immediately after climbing Sigiriya Rock as we fools did! About one third of the way up the path divides - a sloping road heads right, the steps head straight...More

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to these caves. It was free the day we went (Sunday) but I am not sure if this is always the case. This probably should be on everyones list when they visit Sri Lanka

Spend a whole day in this beautiful and meaningful temple in conjunction with the Golden Cave Temple. It will give you a deeper sense of understanding and an inner peace - much needed in today's world.
