I have been visit Village Tour Sri Lanka with my family member's on January. And best Sri Lankan Traditional Village Experience I ever had. Beautiful environment, Intresting activities, Delicious Food, Best friendly service. All of my family had a wonderful experience. Amazing day out with Village Tour Sri Lanka, Nilagama, Galewela, Sri Lanka. Highly recommended if your looking for a best Sri Lankan Traditional Village Experience you should contact Village Tour Sri Lanka.

Such a wonderful local village experience with great memories. I have found this beautiful little village after long research on Google. Really interesting and decide to contact them. I have got fast respond via email from them. Everything in details and very clear proffetional. After that I made a booking for Sri Lankan Village Tour with Village Tour Sri Lanka. I'm very happy with my decision and all of my family member's had a such a wonderful time at beautiful Nilagama Village. Interesting activities and I can't forgot that mouth-watering, delicious Sri Lankan Traditional Farmers Buffet Lunch. We are been to visit traditional blacksmith work shop, goldsmith workshop, traditional handloom work shop, village coffee shop after that we are did the traditional catamaran ride by the Bats Lake. Such a beautiful calm environment rich with many wildlife. Many varieties of birds, pretty beautiful rice paddy & Nilagama mountain on right side. After catramaran ride we are visit local vegitables and fruits farm. Best opportunity to meet locals and nice friendly community with beautiful smile. After that we are move to next place. There is a bullocks cart waiting for us & we are reach the traditional farmers mud house by bullocks cart. There is a locals waiting for us and warm welcome by locals with water lily galen and refreshing wet tissue.
Such a pretty place. Nicely arrange everything. Beautiful environment with great view. Fresh air and peaceful place to be. Locals are very friendly and presentable. There offer farmers lunch at the mud house. The food was woow. Mouthwatering smell and so delicious. Very cute lunch buffet. All the food there present in the traditional clay pot. The food was very nicely match and beautifully cook. There is a no word the explain that yammy Sri Lankan farmers lunch. You should taste.
So just wan a thank you guys at the Village Tour Sri Lanka. Keep it up your amazing work. This is a best place to get amazing Sri Lankan Traditional Village Experience. Highly recommended Village Tour Sri Lanka.

An experience NOT to miss! A breath taking village with a very professional and welcoming team!
Our guide was Mr Shan, a very ambitious and hard-working man who speaks excellent english. If you are looking to live the traditional village life in Sri Lanka, this is your BEST option!
We were first welcomed by Mr Shan’s family in their house with traditional herbal tea and we then went on to start the tour. We first explored different local shops in the village and saw how everything is made manually by the locals then we went on a Catamaran ride to Bats lake which was amazing! The best part was having lunch in the Mud House, home-made traditional Sri Lankan food which was displayed in a buffet style (cannot emphasize enough on how delicious the food was). Everything was so organized, clean, professional and most importantly so welcoming!
This tour was the highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka and we are very glad we went with this option.
Overall, very kind-hearted people that are passionated about showing their village and their traditions to the world.

Nilagama Village Tour was the highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka.
We were warmly welcomed by Shanaka and Sanda. After an introduction about the village, we proceeded to an authentic and delicious Sri Lankan home cooked meal before commencing the village tour. Sanda, Shanaka's beautiful wife, gave us a cooking demo as well as allowing us hands on cooking. She also shared cooking tips and showed us the herbs growing in the garden.
After lunch, we started the village tour in a Tuk Tuk. Shanaka gave us an understanding of village life from the livelihood of the blacksmith, the handloom weavers, the farmers..... and how each sustained the village. The catamaran ride on the lake was relaxing, a time to chill, connect with nature and enjoy the view.
Another highlight of our tour was meeting Shadow the cow and valued team member whom Shanaka rescued from slaughter. A gentle soul who brought us on the cart ride in the village.
The village tour was a time to get away from city life for a while and slow down. We had a great time and would recommend the Village Tour with Shanaka and his team.

We visited here to get an insight into local life and a fantastic tour it was it’s a family run business and the owner speaks excellent English you start your tour with local drinks and sweets then first part of the tour is in a tuk tuk to see the blacksmith then goldsmith making handmade jewellery and then to the woven cotton being made on a wooden loom then we took a traditional boat ride to see the fruit bats and other various species of birds then on to the farm to see how the grow seasonal crops and finally a oxcart ride to a traditional mud house where you get a delicious Sri Lankan meal and a cookery demonstration and a great experience

This tour was so much fun and the warmth of our host and hostess was a delight. We loved being out in the countryside and my favorite part was the catamaran ride with the amazing amounts of bats flying around. Actually, I loved every part. The lunch was superb, some of the best food I have had in Sri Lanka and the atmosphere where we ate just perfect. Thank you for a lovely day!

Greeted very warmly in true Sri Lankan spirit and the adventure begins. Lovely peaceful lake nearby the village with some 5000 fruit bas. Delicious meal prepared for a lunch for kings. Cooked heartily on an outside fires some local foods ......tour highlight

Fantastic welcoming with Sir Lankan authentic welcome drink, I visited village tour Sir lank with my family.
My son and daughter they enjoyed very much with village experiences as we never had before.
Need to mention the food, Food is indescribable I recommended all you need to go there and enjoy really authentic Sri Lankan foods,
Further services was very good.

Glad to hear from you. More than welcome to our beautiful village in advance. We are open 11.00 AM - 16.00 PM Yes we do arrange the transportation. There will be additional charge according to distance. And if you interest to visit our village tour can you inform us in advance please. Because of we are doing only 20 Pax per day. Looking forward to see you near future at my homeland.
